WildTurkey
blows my mind. If there was one guy I was certain would make it in the NFL, it was Trent Richardson. He did so many great things on the field and off the field at BAMA. He was better than Mark Ingram in that backfield the year Mark won the Heisman! His workout numbers were off the chart (sub 4.5, 25 bench reps). I read on PFT that he had a disappointing rookie season, but I certainly don't recall that. 950 yards and 10+ TD's while splitting time with Hardesty isn't a bust in my opinion. Where did the wheels fall off between season 1 and 2?
Grits and Shins
I took this bullet his rookie year in my dynasty league ...
IrishPride
Just goes to show you, the talent pyramid is very narrow in the NFL......RG3 is in same boat, Talent gets you so far in the NFL because everyone is an athlete, the intangibles are what counts and they are so used to being the best athlete in college, the NFL is about studying the game, running the right holes and avoiding contact in his case.....Its your job and he basically got fired for not doing it right, people get fired all the time, he'll find another shot somewhere.....
tazinib1
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Ray Rice signs with someone before Trent does
gilthorp
Trading Trent 2 years ago in Outraged turned my keeper team from a laughing stock into a mildly amusing joke.

Yep many rookies especially the ones that were elite in college fail to understand this. The Browns are having a similar problem with Justin Gilbert, he is improving but spent his rookie season thinking he could get by on his athleticism. Maybe he can find a home in Cleveland There's bound to be some jobs available in the hospitality industry, maybe he can carry people's bags 10 feet at a time.
