Guest Chappy
How about the people who took pictures of them... why? In the world we live in, you never know what kind of crazy/amazing stuff will happen and if you were lucky enough to not only witness it but get proof of the occurence by taking a picture, how much do you think that picture could be worth? Just playing devil's advocate here. Edited March 1, 2008 by Chappy
Cunning Runt
How about the people who took pictures of them... why? They had no idea what they were seeing at the time they were seeing it. We have the benefit of the context of it and knowing what was happening in advance. It doesn't strike me as odd at all that people would take pictures. Again - not knowing what they were seeing at the time.

However, in the moment you take pics now and ask questions or wonder why you did later.
