Down Goes Frazia
That wasn't what I meant DW. Fraz has already said that it would be an Internet draft. Was talking about who is an actual Seattle HOMER.... which, as everyone with one brain cell knows.... you are one. Not people that live in Seattle or surrounding area. I don't think there are 16 Seattle HOMERS at the Huddle. Think there are only about 10 or 11. 1266556 I only used "homer" as a topic title to get some replies. NO.... you don't need to be a seattle Homer...... just wanted to get as many as we could from around here so maybe we could get together from time to time. Remember.... i bleed viking purple. and there's no way we'll have a LIVE draft with 16 teams & 35-40 rounds. If that happened @ my house..... I'd be served divorce papers as everyone was leaving. I assumed that you were trying to get 16 Seattle (and Alaskan) Huddlers for a league. My mistake. However, my post did get me on the same page as you. Down Goes Frazia
Ahhh... you were just trolling for whatever the bait could catch. :doah: 1266669 yeah pretty much. here's what I see with this....... ideally, we'd like all 16 squads to live in western washington...... have a live 35-40 round draft at the tulalip casino over a weekend.... we all get rooms, gamble, party, have the draft. Then i'll flap my arms & fly to the moon. being realistic..... we get as many of the ECB guys as possible..... add in the guys like proninja & godtom who live here..... and then open it up to "seattle homers" who are displaced. there's no way we can expect a live draft.... and that's never been an option as far as I'm concerned. this league would be patterned after fusion, DW2 and the like. My concern here is that the people getting involved & making committments realize that it takes ALOT MORE WORK to properly manage a successful IDP dynasty squad...... it's pretty much year round. fusion is in it's 4th. year now and has not a ONE team change hands..... it's unrealistic to expect the same results, but remember... us wanting to keep this to seattle homers and/or people who live here...... we don't have a very big "kitty" to pick new owners from.... in case someone were to drop. Team turnover is a concern..... or should I say, "owner committment". BTW....the waiting list for fusion is like waiting to get Packer season tickets. i'll keep monitoring this & hope for some good input from the masses. Seahawks21
I'm in if allowed. My other league is a dynasty type as well so I'm a bit soured on em already, but this seems like too much fun to pass up

Packer season tickets are much easier to pick up than a spot in Fusion. (Just helping Fraz keep this near the top.)

proninja
DGF, we could always try to pluck some guys off other boards as well as I'm sure we've all got a friend or two who'd be in. I'd really like to keep everyone local as well - no offense to those who live out of state, but live drafts are just where it's at.
Fantasy Jesus
SEA rumor. Any truth to this? Sean Locklear is being held in the King County Jail on charges of domestic Violence incurred Sunday in "Pioneer Square" of all places. No details are known at this time I will update this as soon as details are made available. .NET is the FIRST source to have the news of Locklear's arrest which is why you have not heard it on the news sources. Fantasy Jesus
Correct me if I'm wrong here Seattle fans but isn't "Pioneer Square" the place your starting Safety went to earlier in the year and got a beatdown so bad he got some brain damage and missed the entire year? Do the Seahawks ban players from this square because of that? Will Locklear get suspended if this news is true? And what exaclty goes on in this square? Is it a bar district? Do fans try to beat up their favorite athletes here?

Pioneer Square is an area directly north of the Stadium with lots of bars, restaurants, & whatnot. It's not all bad, as Elliot Bay bookstore, and other cool shops are in the area as well. It is rapidly accruing a reputation as bad place to be late at night though. The Hamlin incident was not the first time something negative has happened to catch the media's attention. Holmgren's press conference is at 2:15 pt, so I would think if true it would be addressed then.
Bonehand
From Mike Sando, Tacoma News Tribune: "Locklear jailed on domestic-violence charge Seahawks right tackle Sean Locklear is in King County's Seattle Correctional Facility on a domestic-violence assault charge, the court confirmed today. Locklear, 24, faces a mandatory appearance before a judge before bail can be set. Seattle Municipal Court is operating on a limited schedule today because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Locklear was booked at 3:03 a.m. Sunday, court records show. The Seahawks had no immediate comment. Coach Mike Holmgren has a previously scheduled press conferemce scheduled for today at 2:15. Locklear started 16 regular-season games and the divisional playoff game Saturday. The Seahawks play Carolina on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game." Edited: Holmgren said he will wait to comment until he knows all the facts, but he said that from what he does know it shouldn't be a distraction for this week. Seattle LawDawg
I'm hearing that Locklear's infraction (grabbing his girl by the throat) happened at Belltown Billiards, not in Pioneer Square. Belltown is uptown (towards the Needle) from P.S.
