TheGrunt
I hate those times during the day where it just seems so necessary-yet not complete until- I have that oh so sweet nicotine I hate to love. I haven't really been counting the days since stopping because it only makes me think about it more but AAARRGG... the patch just doesn't seem to get the job done at certain times. Any suggestions that help keep one's mind off from giving in? ...brb, going to the store to get-- uh, I mean.. I just need to, umm... go fill up my... gas..tank.. Yeah! That's it. whitem0nkey
Chew some gum. Or take a pen an pretend its a cig, and just inhale and exhale while pretending its a cig.. One thing is don’t reward yourself with a cigarette.
Chargerz
Sugarless gum &/or toothpicks helped me when I quit. I feel your pain, but try to hang in there. Quitting will be one of the best things you'll ever do to improve your health!!! Edited April 18, 2006 by Chargerz

I do need to find something that is a good enough reward to take my mind off it though. Like a cig... cig... I hate the first two weeks of quitting... I say that like I've been here before. wiegie
If you buy a pack of cigarettes, you are giving money to people who have absolutely no regard for the fact that by using their product you might die a long, horrible, painful death. f' them don't cave in, man
twiley
Have you tried different methods to quitting? A guy at my office did some kind of laser/inner ear thing 3 weeks ago and he hasn't craved nicotine since. Anyone else hear about this? TheGrunt
I don't think I'll give in. I really do want to quit so I'm hoping this works. I'll just do the lucky "rub the patch" thing and pretend I can feel the effects of it withering away any desire for a cigarette. Besides, this really will help my health in the long run, not to mention save me a lot of money. If only cigarettes were good for you! *heh* *heh* yeah... good for me. I know this site is offering help for quitting smoking but is the headline really necessary?

sundaynfl
Try those pouches of chewing tabacco. It'll give you your fix and hopefully you won't become addicted to them.... But try gum first!

10g_DBA
Good luck, grunt. Did this about 5 years ago. Zyban worked well. Kick the habbit and never went back. The Zyban did make me tense and anxious the whole time I was on it, though. Use Josh Gordon to take the edge off - PM clubfoothead for a hookup. Don't worry about the weigh gain. Puddy's got a forum for that, too. Go visit a lung cancer patients in the hospital. That will keep your azz motivated.

Funny how there are so many different uses for 'medical' (or personal) majiuana-- I heard Utah made it legal for the government to distribute it. I bet they make loads of profit on that one. I wonder if a nation wide legality of this would help fix the national debt?
