Kung-fu Midgets
Probably a bit of a tangent from the subject... but the most ridiculous phrase/slang terms that drive me nuts these days are the blending of movie star names when they're couples... like Brangelina, Bennifer, etc. I f'ing hate it when I hear those "names"!

The Misfit
"going forward." i used to have to listen to companies' quarterly earnings conference calls, and each person on the calls must have said this 20 times. i think it has seeped into other usage, too. "our outlook going forward ..." +1 And it always is used without any sense of irony by people who have no hope or desire to go anywhere.
