Jackass
The skins might need to start thinking about Plan B. I'm not sure what that is though. granted, portis being out does not help.

Gibbs is committed to him, he has to get hurt or really really suck to get the hook. But this is his last year.
Cosmo-J
Brunell didn't look good from snap one of the 2006 season. How can Gibbs be committed to him? How about being committed to winning a game?! It's the middle of the 3rd Q and brunell has 64 passing Yards. 64!!! He looks awful. I have Chris Cooley and it's killing me... It's a little early in the season for that, nervous nelly. The second game isnt even over.
Cosmo-J
Yeah, you are right... End over end lame duck INT for Brunell at the 2. At least Cooley was the target...

Can't make all the throws, has no zip, his balls flutter. The end comes quick for QB's- if Wash was smart they would have grabbed a decent backup that they could fall back on. cigarman
As a redskin, I'd like to see Brunell benched. He hold the ball way too long and is very indecisive, he completes more passes to people on the sideline because he throws the ball away every other play. slickvick
Once Portis returns and there is a threat of a running game Brunell will improve dramatically.

Have to agree with skins. Gibbs is not one to give up on his QB very quickly. Brunell will have to really stink for quite a while before he pulls him. rajncajn
Like he did with Ramsey last year... True, but I think it's different with Brunell. I think Gibbs was giving Ramsey his shot and when he didn't cut it he went back to Brunell. I just get the feeling he will stick with him as long as possible in this case, I don't think he will give up the ship to a virtual rookie QB unless the season is out of hand. muck
I have Chris Cooley and it's killing me... PSSST...Joe Gibbs and Danny Snyder have Cooley too. I'm sure they're a little more distressed about the situation than you are.

The end comes quick for QB's- if Wash was smart they would have grabbed a decent backup that they could fall back on. But Danny Boy is an idiot, so this shouldn't be surprising. I mean, why be worried about a 36-year-old Brunell and a mediocre O-line when you have the chance to sign Brandon Lloyd and Antwaan Randle El? Not surprisingly, this isn't the powerhouse offense that some of the Foreskins homers at The Huddle said it would be.
