Cunning Runt
It's not progress to take a man's game indoors out of the elements and play it on a carpet. It's wussiness. So tell us.... How do you really feel about it?

Ok let's forget the dome and just give every team a playing surface that gives them a chance to run, throw, and catch a football. Or is anything other than running up the middle considered being wussie?

Ursa Majoris
Ok let's forget the dome and just give every team a playing surface that gives them a chance to run, throw, and catch a football. Or is anything other than running up the middle considered being wussie? You saw today's game. 498 total passing yards 254 total rushing yards 752 total offensive yards What's wrong with that? I don't like football played indoors and I don't like non-grass fields either.

Rockerbraves
How bout we let this pitiful thread die? It's hard to let something die that you really believe in. Especially after watching a game played at Soldier Field for a Championship Game. NFL teams and players deserve better.

Vet
The Jets would have beaten the Dolphins in the 1983 AFC Championship game if Miami had not watered down the field and turned it into a mud pit. Freeman McNeil would have run around them like they were standing still. Friggin' cheaters.

Rockerbraves
The Jets would have beaten the Dolphins in the 1983 AFC Championship game if Miami had not watered down the field and turned it into a mud pit. Freeman McNeil would have run around them like they were standing still. Friggin' cheaters. This is exactly why we need the game to be played in a controlled enviroment. If every team plays on the same size field why not the same kind of surface if it's possible. I just don't get why anybody would be against this. It certainly wouldn't favor the visitors any more than the home team. For goodness sakes it's 2007. kraftykraft
Football should be played on real grass...period! Edit: And no, this is not an invitation for Ricky Williams/Mike Vick jokes!! Edited January 22, 2007 by kraftykraft

They keep on making mistakes - much more efficient to get robots to play instead. Coaches too - we could use computers to figure out whether to punt or go for it on 4th down instead of some fat guy in a hoodie.

In one episode a football playing robot got hurt in game so another robot came out of the locker room to sweep him away. Pretty sure it was in a dome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFBzoCwnSHg
Big John
Dont guess, its foolish. If the game was one of the nearby states of Texas, such as Ark, LSU, OU, or even any of the Texas schools vs Nebraska, this would have been an early sell out . Auburn simply didnt travel well, and most in Texas have no ties to Auburn what so ever. I wouldnt expect the Cotton bowl to be moved out of Dallas. Cotton Bowl to move to the new Cowboys staduim starting in 2010
