Sugar Magnolia
Just been offered FWP for Maroney straight up-should I do it? No PPR My concern is FWP plays Balt twice and does not do well against good running defenses. Don't know about Maroney. I like that I at least know what I'm getting with FWP. ts
Classic risk vs. reward decision. I'd do it, just because I'm not yet on the Maroney bandwagon ... have some concerns about his durability, and as you said, at least you can be pretty sure of what you're getting with Parker. BLK&GLD
i wouldn't make that trade. while i like maroney he's still not proven that he can carry the load for the season...willie has.
Big Country
i wouldn't make that trade. while i like maroney he's still not proven that he can carry the load for the season...willie has. So you would do it as she is the one getting FWP? I do the deal. Maroney may have big upside, but with that comes greater risk. With FWP, he may well improve on some already impressive results. FWP didn't just have shoulder surgery months ago. Tomlin has said FWP will be involved in more 3rd down situations in 07. As far as risk vs reward-my other RBs besides Maroney are Gore, D. Williams, and Dunn. So pretty high risk players. You all are pretty split on whether to do this or not. All the more reason, IMO, to get your hands on a "known commodity" like Parker.
lawn saver
Make this trade. Parker is proven and wants to have a LT2 type year. Thats not saying he will, but he is putting a gola in front of himself that he wants. I take Parker and I would make the trade
kellycanbereached
oops!! i said don't do it because i thought you were giving up FWP.. DO IT!!! take FWP!!!!!!!!!!!
Sugar Magnolia
You all BETTER be right- Big trades like this usually haunt me-usually with the player I trade for going down with a big injury.
Sugar Magnolia
HMMM just saw FWP and Gore have the same bye week 6, which means that week playing D. Williams and Dunn. I haven't seen the match-ups week 6 for Dunn and D. Williams. Would you still do it? Edited September 5, 2007 by Sugar Magnolia
tosberg34
stop looking at the bye weeks and make the trade. You can't let the bye weeks run your decision making. Even if you lose that week - IT'S ONLY ONE LOSS! And the rest of the weeks are wins! Make the trade!
kcmast
I would do it. I don't really pay attention to bye weeks besides making sure I have enough active players. Sometimes I feel like I would rather have one really bad week and get it out of the way instead of two mediocre weeks.
Crazysight
By all means, take Parker over Maroney.

Rileyrott
I drafted FWP at 1.7 (in a 10-team draft), and Maroney went 2.1...................MAKE THE TRADE!!!
