Gdawg
Huh? What are "those plays"? Are you saying that there isn't another penalty that can be challenged? Or are you saying that you can't challenge offsides/false start? You cannot challenge false starts, or offside penalties. Ever seen it done? SuperCharger
You cannot challenge false starts, or offside penalties. Ever seen it done? I think he's asking why can 12 men be challenged? He's asking if there are any other penalties that can be challenged, and if no then why 12 men?
LosGatosEnFuegos
You cannot challenge false starts, or offside penalties. Ever seen it done? No I haven't. That's why I used it as an example of a penalty that cannot be challenged. My question was if there is any other penalty that CAN be challenged. My question was if there is any other penalty that CAN be challenged. There was no penalty on that particular play, it was just something the Redskins managed to catch, to their credit. I think we're talking at cross purposes here, meaning we're both addressing points neither one actually brought up

They could have at least fed Adrian the ball a little in the second half for my bowl game.

Mystykoekaki
It looked just as worse sitting in the dome tonight, but instead of commercials we were treated to stupid marketing events.
WaterMan
Jackson looks horrible. He reminds me of Vick, which is not a good thing. Must be color.
detlef
He isn't an NFL caliber QB. He may become one but his rough edges show against quality teams. Is Robert Ferguson their #1 WR now? If so that is part of the problem. Bingo. Honestly, what is the point with this guy? He can't make a short throw and his long passes look like total prayers. He's not tall. He throws side arm. He's also not like a Flutie type guy who just makes good things happen. I mean, I can almost understand when they give some guy like Drunkenmiller, etc. a shot because they seem like prototypes. Then, when it's apparent they suck, they just toss them aside. What was the allure here to begin with? If it's because he can run, why don't they call more plays for him? Randall
This is what happens when Mediocre teams face the NFC east GB played those teams this year. They had 2 very bad games against the Cowboys and Bears. They're a very young team. They'll learn. Washington exposed Tavaris' weaknesses yesterday. Philadelphia Eagles 12 noon W, 16-13 @ New York Giants 12 noon W, 35-13 Sun., Oct. 14 Washington Redskins 12 noon W, 17-14 Thurs., Nov. 29 @ Dallas Cowboys 7:15 p.m. L, 27-37 QUOTE(SuperCharger @ 12/23/07 8:32pm) Jackson looks horrible. dread
I wouldn't be too saddened to see them miss the playoffs, maybe then we can get a new coach who doesn't think Tavaris Jackson is the answer at QB. Childress is a bad coach who got lucky by making the obvious draft choice of AP. AP and the defense caught fire at the same time which probably saved Chilly's job for the remainder of the season. Now that other teams have figured out how to stop Chilly's "Kick-A** offense" by stacking the line and daring Tavaris to throw, Chilly's true coaching prowess is again revealed. bushwacked
My question was if there is any other penalty that CAN be challenged. There are several penalty plays that can be challenged as others have noted. You can't review judgement calls whether they are non-penalties or plays (i.e...push outs on catches). bushwacked
Isn't incomplete pass a judgement call? That's challenged all the time. I believe they refer to judgment calls as plays where there isn't a degree of irrefutably overturn a call. While mainting control of the ball for a catch could be considered a judgement...both feet caming down inbounds or the ball hitting the ground is definitely something that can be confirmed.
