Footballjoe
I think so. Asssuming you are using it for repairs around the house and are not a contractor that would use it daily and for heavy duty work. If you were though you would probably not be asking. It will be totally fine for the "around the house" repairs. If that is what it is for then it looks like it is at a great price. darin3
Not sure how good Hitachi is, but I could have sworn I saw "better name brand" 10" miter saws for just over $100 at Home Depot and Lowe's.

Duchess Jack
here's my baby.........this'll get the Wench wethttp://www.amazon.com/Makita-LS1013-Slide-...h/dp/B0000223I3 Dang - that's pretty. That may well moisten the Wench - as the pricetag would no doubt ensure that she'd put me to work before letting me go to work. unless you were talking about her leaning on the table while I was doing my sawing - in which case - the washer/dryer might be safer. It would end up being a concentration issue for me.

The Holy Roller
This is a GREAT thread on a lot of levels. And that's a good deal on that saw for what you are planning. My son the carpenter uses one regularly and never a problem. Edited February 23, 2008 by The Holy Roller
