MrTed46
Whomper, BJ is correct. If you call them tell them you want to scaled down to the FREE version of AOL. What this means is that you must have an internet connection to access your email they will not provide a connection for you (for example, you cant dial into AOL or use AOL cable modem service). So if you have internet through another subscriber (eg, Time Warner, FIOS) you will not be affected and should have scaled down to the free service a while ago. You are not paying for the software at all so by uninstalling it you are not doing anything but removing junk from your computer. Just call them and tell them you want to scale down to the free service. They WILL try to convince you to keep it or get internet through them but just tell them NO! Hope this helps. rocknrobn26
FWIF, this happened to a friend of mine several years ago and he had a MAC! Virus proof back in the day, Right? Anyway I get an email from him w/ a link to an FF site. Understandable as we were in local parallel, not competing leagues. I click it and VIRUS CITY! Unendable popups, weird sites, etc.. Took me hours to clean it up. I wrote him back and he was totally unaware of the problem/email/virus. So, not your fault necessarily, Isle! A condom may have helped, but if the contents dribbles out...
