Perchoutofwater
I had cyst get infected right at the where my shoulder meets my neck. It has been there about two years. It was about the size of a pea. Last week it got infected and swelled up to about 3/4 the size of a golf ball. Had it lanced, and all the pus squirted out of it. They then packed it. Luckily it wasn't as bad as the one I had on my back a year or two ago. I don't have to have it reamed out twice a day and poked on any more. I just have to pull the packing out tomorrow in the shower. I got some vicodin from the doctor, so I figured it was the perfect excuse to take the rest of the day off. i_am_the_swammi
Dude....those cysts are pimples that hardened at the surface and didn't naturally disintiegrate. Get yer wifey to squeeze them while they are young. Pretty f'in gross.

Czarina
My husband had a sebaceous cyst twice. Nasty, nasty, nasty. The doc who took care of the first one made a mess of it too. Blech. And I'm sure he didn't get vicodin either.
