whomper
One other point aside from Puddys well thought out detailed explanation I chose not to buy the suit because it annoyed me that the suit company was almost certainly making a much bigger profit on the Chinese-made suit than on the suit made by the Canadian Union workers. If you were getting banged over the head it was Macys that was doing it. Not the suit company.
CaP'N GRuNGe
I would have bought the suit made in China. No doubt it is put together better when there are so many people vying for jobs other than working in the rice paddies, they will make sure to keep their quality top notch for fear of being replaced and back in the paddy. The Canadian union member knows there is almost no chance of him being fired as the quasi socialist government to the north would not allow it. So like the drunk minority English teacher that can only speak in ebonics, no matter how bad they are at their job, the union will protect them and really doesn't care about the quality of the product produced. The lead lined inner pockets are a plus too.
Azazello1313
You are a discerning buyer. not exactly the first phrase that comes to mind for someone deciding between a chinese suit and a canadian one.
tazinib1
Once you get the suit figured out, contact Muck. I hear he can hook you up with some stunning matching Crocs. **My Daily Chuckle**

Yep, because nothing says "quality" quite like a "Made in China" tag.
skylive5
I guess I have to finally ask.... what is your reasoning for not buying American?
wiegie
I guess I have to finally ask.... what is your reasoning for not buying American? the American made suits at Macy's were about twice as expensive as the Canadian/Chinese made ones I would actually have preferred to buy an American suit if one had been even somewhat close in price. Despite the (mostly created in jest) reputation I have here in the tailgate, I typically buy American-made products if the price and quality are even relatively competitive. Have you tried K-Mart or Sears? LOL You have a good point though.
TimC
You gotta buy Chinese. Otherwise, the 8-year old girls making the suits will get the whip. Canadians are used to a lifetime of disappointment and shame since, well, they're Canadians. And as for the greedy American making the suit trying to support his family and make this country a little better place to live in, well....he ain't cheap enough since he can't compete with an 8 year old girl that eats rice 2 times a day and a Canadian that doesn't have to pay for his own security and instead depends on his neighbor to pay for it for him. Easy decision. Plus, the Chinese have those big doe eyes that you just can't say no to. P.S. Commie.

matt770
You don't need a suit, everything is business casual nowadays. Collared shirt and khakis will get you out of this mess. Edited August 25, 2009 by matt770
westvirginia
Canadians are tall, white and eat poutine. Chinese are little, yellow and eat with chopsticks...
