rocknrobn26
I've been to many different hotels in Vegas, mostly the Harrah's group (Ceasar's, Bally's Paris, Flam., ya da ya da) Also the Hilton, MGM, Venetian, and others. But since no hotel seems to respect table players anymore (I used to be considered a high roller at the Flam w/ full comps and more) we're looking for a different place. Considering the Monte Carlo, NY,NY, and any others. The Monte has a sweet suite for ~$90/night. Any one ever stay there? Other suggs appreciated. All opinions appreciated..... Clubfoothead
I've stayed at the Wynne, Belagio and Luxor. I like Belagio the best. Aria looked really cool and is right on the train line. I don't gamble other than the sports book so not sure who likes the table players the best. Not sure if that helps at all...

Not crazy lavish, but a very decent place for a reasonable price. If you're looking to go the cheap route, any of the Station casinos are pretty good and not too expensive, but all off the strip (they're all owned by Boyd Gaming). If you're willing to spend a bit on your hotel and haven't stayed at Mandalay Bay, try it this trip. It's a gorgeous property. Maybe my favorite in Vegas. rocknrobn26
Thanks for info. Decided to go w/ the Monte Carlo Monaco suite. $80/night seems decent. I heard they like table players. Any other suggs appreciated!
frankf
I highly recommend Aria, we stayed there a few months back in the standard room and it was amazing. Edited June 18, 2010 by frankf
Ursa Majoris
The Rumpy-Pumpy Motel is dead cheap and you can pay by the hour.

rocknrobn26
I highly recommend Aria, we stayed there a few months back in the standard room and it was amazing. It looks like a sweet place and I considered it, but at an extra $49/night I didn't see the value/diff that was worth it! $80 per night for that room is good! That's what I thought, but we WILL be checking for bedbugs!
TimC
We're going to chill at the Vdara in September. We like new places and we wanted a nice relaxing quieter place with a full kitchen. It's tiring to dig up a drink in the middle of the night/morning. We're gonna stock the fridge and be able to have coffee and sweet tea. It's right next to the Aria and connected to the Bellagio somehow so we'll be able to get our gambling fix.
Big Country
Funny, Harrah's has been offering me some pretty good comps. Reminds me I need to book my WCOFF room, theyffering me a full comp for the trip and Harrah's is right next door to the Venetian, which is perfect. Monte Carlo is more a locals casino IIRC, so not sure how they are with comps for non-regulars.

I could have gotten a comp'd room at the Flam or Harrah's, but the last time I stayed in one @ the Flam it was pretty gamy. The Go rooms are nice and they were about the same the MC suite. A guy I used to work w/ used to go to the MC a lot thru the 90's and into the early 2K's and he was getting really good comps and we gamble pretty much the same. Problem is I was getting those good comps during those days also. Somewhere along the line they statred to cater to the machine players, and that's not my game. Big Country
Somewhere along the line they statred to cater to the machine players, and that's not my game. That's because the machines now generate more revenue than the table games. It used to be that the machines were there so the players wives had something to do while the men played blackjack, craps, etc. Along the way, the slots started generating more revenue than the tables, thus the change in focus of the marketing. Now it is the other way around, the tables are there to keep the hubbies happy while their wives gamble even more away at the slots than they do at the tables. Choppy
Stayed at the Monte Carlo last time I was out there. Pretty nice place. They have a fun little brew pub there you need to check out. One recommendation. Immediatly upon checking in, go over to the store next door to the north and buy some decent TP. You can thank me later.
