i_am_the_swammi
SHARK!!! How'd you like to be on the beach when the guards yell : "Ok, we can't see it anymore...its OK to go back in" Beaches were closed for 3 hours following that sighting...we were about an hour south in Avalon. In the Golden Isles along the GA coast, we have a relatively large shark breeding ground, hammerheads, blue tip, etc... We were in a small plane flying over the coastal islands... If you're afraid of sharks, you'd never get back in after flying over those areas, they are all over the place.

If my kids ever saw that they would never go in the water again But the question is, would it affect what time they went to bed? You could always use this to your advantage and tell them if they don't get to bed earlier that you'll be replacing all of their beds with water beds. Czarina
Some of the beaches on Cape Cod have been closed lately due to the unusually close sighting of great whites so close in. The water's the warmest it's been in years, bringing the seals and other food closer inland and therefore the sharks. I'm about 10 miles from one of those beaches right now... wiegie
all of you dumbasses ought to visit the beaches in Michigan: not kidding (water is currently about 81 degrees) (Edit to add: And I'm only partially saying that because the state of Michigan needs all the tourism dollars that it can get these days.) If so, we should meet up. I live about 30-45 minutes away just north of Grand Rapids. (I'll take you to Founder's Brewery or perhaps Hopcat Bar so you can test some of the best beers in the world.)
