SheikYerbuti
I'm with The Dude on this one. I do like both Linda Ronstadt and Johnny Cash's versions of Desperado.

BeeR
Some people think they are soulless, calculated, mercenary doooshbags. I'm not even sure wth that is supposed to mean but it sounds like gibberish spoken by idiots. The Eagles were never my fav, but they rank among the all-time greats in rock, and it has nothing to do w/how many records they sold. Also water is wet. yeesh Anyway no single fav but the short list: Already Gone Victim of Love New Kid in Town Tequila Sunrise Lyin Eyes (although also overplayed so don't care to hear it much) Those Shoes Edited September 27, 2010 by BeeR
Kid Cid
Some good stuff here. I'm partial to Joe Walsh solo and I love the edge he brings to this band, but I thought there were some better lyrics before him. Already Gone and Life in the Fast Lane are pretty tight. Just so to stir up some controversy, Hotel California was about a junkie house and heroin.
chester
Just had to pipe in and say that the Eagles are my favorite band of all time.
Controller
Love the Eagles, but I have to add that their latest double CD from a couple of years ago was complete garbage - maybe one or two listenable songs and the rest is bilge. How can a band go from "Hotel Californa" and "The Long Run" etc to this collection of failures?
