SEC=UGA
(CBS/AP) FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - President Barack Obama's uncle, Onyango Obama, has been charged with drunk driving in Massachusetts and is being held by immigration officials. Onyango Obama was arrested last week in Framingham, which is 20 miles outside of Boston, after police said he made a rolling stop and nearly caused a cruiser to strike his SUV. When police asked if Onyango Obama wanted to make a phone call, he said, " I think I will call the White House." A spokesman for the immigration attorney Margaret Wong, who is representing him, confirmed that the 67-year-old is the president's uncle. Onyango Obama is the brother of Zeituni Onyango, the president's aunt, who last year won the right to stay in the United States after a deportation order. Police say the president's uncle is originally from Kenya and is being held without bail on a detainer from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. SayItAintSoJoe
Meh, who doesn't have a drunkle? I remember one time when I was a kid my drunkle fell over the side of a small above ground pool and the wall caved in and flooded the back yard. Good times. SEC=UGA
Meh, who doesn't have a drunkle? Boy, did I have one. Great guy, funny, but ALWAYS drunk. From what I understand he was not as big of a drinker in his younger years. He went and fought in WWII, got captured by the Nazis and spent two years in a POW camp. They tatooed him up with prisoner numbers and basically made his life a lving hell. When he came home, he was a different person, where drinking was concerned. He would wake up and start the day with a drink. He drove trucks for a living, but pretty much drank while doing that. After he retired he drank even more. He lost his license and the NC ABC stores would not sell alcohol to him. He got pulled over one day on a riding mower drunk... drunk on unleaded gasoline. So, his wife started buying alcohol for him again. I remember him always sitting in the same recliner, watching TV and just cracking jokes and always having a smile on his face. He died at the ripe old age of 93. We could only figure that he lived so long because the alcohol had actually pickled him, preserving his organs for as long as possible. I'm sure he looks as good in his casket today as he did when he died 13 years ago.
Ursa Majoris
He went and fought in WWII, got captured by the Nazis and spent two years in a POW camp. Must have been part of the invasion of Sicily and Italy, then. Nasty campaign, people forget Europe was invaded by the western Allies long before D-Day. CaP'N GRuNGe
Dick Cheney wouldn't steal your SS#, your bank account info or send you phishing emails... No, he'd just get liquored up and shoot you in the face, then shoo away the authorities until the next morning when he'd sobered up.
