Menudo
http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/7...-yardage-record Because of this BS....This is the record that needs an "*" I personally have zero problem with it. If I'm coaching a guy who worked hard, and had such an outstanding season, you better believe that if I get an opportunity to reward him with a record, I'm going to do it. I've got no problem with teams continuing to play football as they choose until the clock shows 0:00.

Ah, sorry, I wasn't thinking of that. Agreed, I've got absolutely no issue with either team's handling of those situations. I know, if I were a coach, I would be rewarding my player as well. The media can kiss my ass. When journalists start to play, then I'll take some notice of them. Until then, the only people that matter are the participants. Ditkaless Wonders
I think there is something to be said for fostering the attitude that you are not worried about negatives, such as injuries. It keeps the team aggressive. Is there some risk, sure, but I don't think the risk of injury equals even a 5% chance.

So, Ursa, you are saying that a team can do anything, within the rules, they wish to do to achieve their ultimate goal. All this nonsense comes about because of some ridiculous notion of not running up the score. I'd like to see that put to bed once and for all by moving points scored much higher up the ladder of tiebreakers. It might even get rid of the swindle known as taking a knee. No trap, I was just eluding to our HOTD playoff game from a few years ago. Of course, after your utter domination this year, that season is probably long forgotten. I'm bummed Graham didn't get it, but still glad Gronk did. They both had unbelievable seasons for such young players. It'll be fun seeing these guys compete over the next several seasons :knockonwood: to be the best TEs in the game... And who knows, maybe one day be counted among the best. I agree - but my comment is made because of all the negative media the Saints received last week for running up the score on ATL to get Drew the record. I agree, it's very frustrating seeing the bias that is so obvious from our perspective. However, one thing I like about it is that it keeps that chip on our guys' shoulders. Not quite the same thing as running up the score but point taken anyway.
