Breakfast of champions

Weekdays: varies. Usually I'll grab a bowl of granola and a banana at home, other times I get up and get going and grab a donut, bagel, and chocolate milk on the road. Sometimes I'll have an egg and toast, but not very often.

Weekends: every Saturday I make pancakes for the family. Sunday is usually some form of eggs.

We maintain a rotation of the following:

Berry, banana, yogurt, and protein powder smoothies (2-3 week)

over easy eggs and toast (we've got chickens so the eggs are good) (2-3x week)

oatmeal (once week)

whitefish salad on a hollowed out bagel with tomato, pickled onion, and lettuce (once week)

lately I've been digging scrambled eggs with sweet potato onion hash and sriracha

And always coffee for me, tea for the lady.

Because I sometimes work at night (and used to far more which is when we started this routine), breakfast was the one meal we'd always share together. So we sort of take it seriously.
