Macksimus
I'm leaning towards sitting Spiller and starting B. Powell. Anyone else considering benching him? He has not lived up to expectations at this point, and I (1-2 because of him) can't afford him laying another egg.
buddahj
I'm starting Fred Jackson.
darin3
I've been recommending benching him this week unless you are in a dire need. Not a good matchup, he's giving way to the more effective Jackson and I honestly wouldn't play him until he proves he can put up huge numbers. Team Archer
Im starting Spiller. Im hoping he outperforms Jackson and if he dosent Ill just start Jackson next week if Jackson isnt hurt.
Macksimus
NFL.com Fantasy has him projected to score 19+ points (standard). That's more points than what he has scored in the last 3 games combined. I have never put any stock into projections, but that is just rediculous. ...but with my luck, the week I sit him he probably WILL drop 19. OK so I just heard that NFL.com's projections are tied to the Madden video game. Seriously. So those that are relying on NFL.com fantasy projections might want to look for some waterfront property in Nevada.

I thought that post was joking, but I did a quick search and did find this, on a page at NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/help/projections That is and I've never put much trust in any projections, even those by DMD (he admits they are far from reliable). But playing a video game Apparently they don't base their RANKINGS off Madden, but the projections are from Madden's "simulation". I mentioned this in another thread... their rankings look like this (on their TV network...) 1. Drew Brees (projected points - 22) 2. Matthew Stafford (20) 3. Tom Brady (17) 4. Robert Griffin III (21) 5. Colin Kaepernick (20) 6. Sam Bradford (19) 7. Brian Hoyer (28) ... and so on.

darin3
So my first thought was right, their ranking and projections are done by different "people", not unlike The Huddle. (No offene meant to DMD and The Huddle staff.) Yeah, but in one case, you have two industry experts giving their opinions... of which you take in, digest and plan accordingly. In the other, you have a stupid video game and Michael "Fabs" Fabiano.

The same NFL.com/Fantasy projects Jacoby Jones at 6.5pts @ Buf. (I kid you not...look it up!). The majority of fantasy sites are totally worthless and their projections thrown at a wall by a Siberian housewife taking time off from her porn cam gig. Stick with The Huddle. Yeah, that's because their projections are results of a Madden simulation. Seriously. He's not hurt in Madden.
Cowboyz1
At this point all you can hope for a week of great performance and then trade him. I would start almost anyone else with RB1 or RB2 status over him. Good luck
Scorcher
Saw somewhere that FFB players tend to put more value on a player based on draft position as opposed to performance. Too many owners look at where they drafted a player and think that somehow this overrides the actual performance and that someday they will come around based solely on the conjecture that the player was drafted at 1.5. It doesn't work that way, sooner or later you have to look at the performance over so many games and realize that speculation and projections don't equal fantasy reality. WildTurkey
eh, I'm starting him. He could hit a home run. I have G. Bernard on my bench. I don't have any better options in my 12 team, 3 bench spot league. My top 3 alternatives on waivers are Da'rel Scott, Andre Ellington, or Marcel Reese. kenwg
By now it's obvious Marrone was lying through his teeth when he said, in the pre-season, they were going to run Spiller "until he throws up." Of course it got all the other teams - as well as the Madden game - putting their focus on Spiller in the pre-game planning - which is certainly exactly what Marrone wanted. No, it's obvious they'rer running a committee at Buffalo, and it ain't gonna change. So I went out and picked up Jason Snelling off the waver wire and I'm running him instead of Spiller. My other back is Bilal Powell, who I picked up earlier to cover for Steven Jackson while he's hurt. I expect I'll still be running Powell instead of Spiller, as my other back, once Jackson is back on line.
