Shaft
Sounds like the beginning of the end. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/ap-source-jaguars-void-fournettes-contract-guarantees-022509336--nfl.html

That's crazy. They should have gave him the dam bonus and traded him. Now he'll have little to no value. Thank you Shaft.
Dcat
I hope the Jets can find some way to do the same to Trumaine Johnson. In fact, trade Trumaine straight up for Fournette. LOL.

He's under contract for two more years with a club option for a 3rd. All it means is that Fournette now has to earn what was once guaranteed... and he can earn it all. I think JAC is frustrated with how injury prone he is and is using this suspension as a safety net for them if he can't get his durability together. EDIT: this probably improves his trade value. Good points. Unless it turns into a unrepairable bitter marriage it actually does improve his trade value. I'd be afraid that this is gonna turn ugly and they have no choice but to part ways. That will certainly hurt his value.
purplemonster
Jags seems to have a lot of "me" players who seem to try as hard as they want to. I understand having Bortles as your QB sucks, but you are a pro and you try hard regardless. Fournette has been a pretty huge disappointment. Now he's showing up out of shape. Will be interesting to see what they do

stevegrab
Very interesting, but lets be perfectly clear, they are doing something allowed in the contract, voiding years because of his suspension, this is not just some willy nilly "void that contract we won't pay" thing, so not easily used for other situations. Big John
Now he was arrested for driving with a suspended license. https://www.news4jax.com/sports/nfl/jaguars/leonard-fournette-arrested-for-driving-on-suspended-license
League_Champion
He was doing 65 in a 45 on a suspended license. Lock him up & throw away the key! Then trade him to Philly for a conditional 5th round pick. That will learn him.
