Start Wayne or Clayton?

I've been riding Wayne all year (4th best WR in my league), but Clayton is getting hard to ignore. Wayne's yardage is down and I love Clayton's matchup this week. Who should I plug in there? Big game this week against the 2nd place team in my division (I'm in 1st). If I win, I clinch the division.

2-player, 12-team performance league, start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1D/ST, 1K

QB: D. Carr, A. Brooks

RB: A. Green*, C. Brown, E. Smith+, N. Davenport, A. Smith, T. Fisher

WR: T. Owens*, M. Harrison+, R. Wayne, M. Clayton, J. Pathon

TE: J. Wiggins, J. Stevens

D/ST: Patriots

K: Kaeding, Tynes

* keepers

+ acquired in trade for C. Martin and J. Porter

That is VERY close. Like Grits said I think I'd stay with Wayne but it is very close. I also don't think you could choose wrong because both should have good games. Although I do think Clayton is a little more consistent week in and week out. At any rate stay with Wayne, but both should do fine.

Clayton is a safer bet for solid numbers, Wayne is more a blow-up or blow-out kinda guy I think. If you want solid core points I go Clayton, if you want to gamble for big points go Wayne.

I'm still struggling with this one. I've swapped them several times this week already. I guess I can't complain though. It is a nice decision to have. I think I'm going with Clayton since SF's top 3 corners are out. Anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks to everyone who replied.

That's a tough one ... but I would sit Wayne because he is one of 3 or 4 guys that get the ball in Indy.

Exactly. Wayne probably has more big game potential. However, he also has the potential to have a total stinker. IMO, Clayton is lock for 80-100 yards and a possible score.

Go with Clayton.

Thanks for responding to my post.
