Bier Meister
NY style: a couple of obscure places in the bronx chi style: place in chitown....also some in north beach (san francisco) i still like cpk other noteworthy pizza experiences: like sourdough crusts. one place i used to go to a lot had a very different crust: was kind of like a thick cracker. best has been in florence italy... i am not usually a thin crust guy, but with the methods and ingredients used..... they were consistantly awesome!!!!! Piranha
The best? That's tough. Right now my favorite is Cosmo's, thin and crispy. Had a couple slices yesterday at the mall.

westvirginia
Grazziano's in (of all places) Charleston WV. None of the places down here in ATL touches it. Of course, these guys and their Momma still had olive oil dripping outta their hair.
nhoops
Small, local, gourmet, mainly takeout place in Somerville, MA (near Tufts) "Urban Gourmet" has really good pizza. Cooks 25 min in olive oil.............favorite is the City Slicker (port. mushroom, carm onions and gorgonzola cheese)...mmmmmm Di Mio, outside of Porter Sq. is good. Thin crust, great toppings....a little pricey though. Had some good slices in NYC a few months ago. Place near Katz's deli. It was a local chain I think, had it the day before outside of times square.

Di mio is pretty good, wouldn't say the best i've ever had. I'd have to give props to the Nines, Ithaca, New york. Some serious deep dish pie. Beaumont
I didn't know that Beaumont. So why couldn't we get a little on-campus pizzeria instead of the DUC? Doesn't seem right! 723493 He bought it some time after he graduated in 1992. I just saw him in 2003 at the Mellow Mushroom and he told me he had bought it ... Edit to add it was John Bush, not Dave Bush ... Edited March 7, 2005 by Beaumont

Some don't care for their pizza though....but to each there own. They have everything from pizza to sandwhiches (TNT BLT), fresh fish, to pasta in delicious sauces (Mushroom ) Not a place to go if you are counting calories. (BTW near it's near Kelly's Diner) Edited March 7, 2005 by nhoops

Miner
If there are any St. Louisans here, most of you probably like Imo's. I hated Imo's. It's like white Cheez Whiz on a saltine. 723517 Imo's rules speaking of st. louis pizza joints...Fortell's is excellent. I think they even topped USA Today's best a couple years back.
