Opponents were determined eons ago. I know I was looking at GB opponents back in November...and I am sure they came out long before that.

All except 2 of the matchups per year was predetermined in 2002, and the rotations are scheduled to last to at least 2009.

Dolphins get GB, Minny and Tenn. at home. All of those teams have QB's that the Dolphins have shown interest in this offseason. Could be a "So-and-so faces their former team this Sun..."    :D

What Packer QB does MIA have interest in? :D

And with a new Packers coach, would it help that much?

If his royal highness wants to come back and play for a contender, what better place would there be for him to fit in?

I love that our new rival, the Bengals, earned a 1st place schedule by winning the division, while, the Super Bowl Champs get a 2nd place schedule:

Cincy

Home:

Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Oakland, San Diego, Atlanta, Carolina, New England

Away:

Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver, Kansas City, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis

Pittsburgh

Home:

Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Miami

Away:

Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego, Atlanta, Carolina, Jacksonville

Really not much difference, except, the Bengals get New England at home, and Indy on the road, while the Steelers get Miami at home and Jacksoville on the road.

Thats quite a difference! I say you guys most likely go 2-0 in the differing games (1-1 at the very least), while they should consider themselves LUCKY to get one...

NFL says they will have another Thursday game to start the season (September 7th).

Denver @ Pittsburgh is a likely guess.

Due to the NFL Network taking away the non-Sunday/Monday games, they are talking about doing a 2nd Thursday opener, as well as a kickoff game in London.

The 2nd prime time game in recent years has featured the Super Bowl loser. The Seahawks only play one playoff team from 2005 @ home (NY Giants). They play Chicago, Denver, and Tampa on the road.

Seattle @ Chicago? Oakland @ Seattle?

I'm not sure...part of the fun and excitement of football season is the week long anticipation of "Football Sunday"...i hope they are not diluting the product by having this many prime time games...

But then again, who am I kidding, I will watch them all anyways :D

I don't think they are diluting anything. They are adding maybe one or two over the course of the season. Personally, I would love it if they staggered the games out more.
