Vet
This guy has become a charicature of himself. Worse than that, he's become a mockery of himself. Let's face it, if he hadn't worked for the Raiders and hadn't taken with him all of the Raiders' audible calls - (and, if the Raiders had enough sense to change their audible calls given the fact that their former coach was now working for the opposition...IN THE FRIGGIN' SUPERBOWL!), he'd be nothing more than a perennial loser. And he's proving his merrit now. So, Jon, wear your visor down over your eyes. Talk in that raspy voice. Look like Chucky from Childs Play. And lose. And continue to lose. And lose some more. Until everyone figures out that you're a loser. Then get fired and go on Letterman, that'll be the next time you're on latenight TV. Loser. Jolly Rodgers
Simply an ignorant quote. You are implying that the only reason the Bucs won the superbowl was because Gruden knew the audible calls in ONE GAME???? First off, they had to get there first and second off, I think the PLAYERS on the BUCS #1 DEFENSE that year had something to do with it. Just because the Jets can't seem to even get to the playoffs doesn't give you the right to lady dog about my team. Vet
I am an eggspurt on losing, and on pathetic football in general. I've seen Jets teams lose games that were vertually unloseable. I challenge anyone out there match my record of losing. I've seen blown leads that were unblowable, I've been victim to trap games that were untrappable. I've lost games to better opponents, lesser opponents and equal opponents. I've seen incredible comebacks fall short at the end. I've seen blow outs, I've seen heartbreakers. I've seen bad calls by the refs, bad coaching, bad execution, and just plain bad luck. I've been through Walt Michaels, Joe Walton, and Rich Kotite and taken the worst they can dish out. Bottom line is, I know bad when I see bad. And Jon Gruden is a bad coach. Bill Swerski
And Jon Gruden is a bad coach. Not sure I agree with that, although I think that he'd be better as an OC. He does wonders with QBs (Gannon, Johnson). Unfortunately, his current QBs are so freaking bad that he can't do much for them.
Bronco Billy
Not sure I agree with that, although I think that he'd be better as an OC. He does wonders with QBs (Gannon, Johnson). Unfortunately, his current QBs are so freaking bad that he can't do much for them. I'll agree with that. I'm not sure if he's the one who decided that Simms was the future of the organization or if it was someone further up the chain - I'm not that familiar with the TB power structure. But that was a horrible mistake, whomever made it. As far as what he's done lately, he's had a D that was great at one time but has aged badly recently and Cadillac Williams was also a mistake at RB - but that was difficult to see coming. Does Gruden make the decisions on personnel in TB?
Jolly Rodgers
Does Gruden make the decisions on personnel in TB? Him and GM Bruce Allen.

First off, they had to get there first and second off, I think the PLAYERS on the BUCS #1 DEFENSE leftover from the Dungy regime that year had something to do with it.
