Scooby
Will this be the 1st road win for a Thursday nite team this year? NFL network is hoping so....to legitimize their NFL Thursday nite game controversy
Tally
I know alot of people around here like to bash the announcer's. I personally don’t think they are that bad. Gumble is just out of practice and does seem to be improving. But what’s really great about the NFL network is the all day pregame show and the all night post game show. All the interviews and analysis before and after the game is entertaining to watch. You just don’t get anything close to this w/ ESPN needing to get to sports center to talk about golf after the games or with the local station's rushing off to the news afterwards. I'm also finding myself enjoying some of the studio staff like M. Faulk and Rod Woodson, these guys know their stuff and are growing on me, especially Marshall he seems like a great guy. I could do without Deion Sanders though.

However, it was during the summer and near the end of the off-season, but not yet close enough to get the in depth news we hear now -- that's when I came across the NFL Network. NFL-talk 27/4 and all year long... it definitely helped me through those long early summer months.

Hat Trick
Other than Gumbel, I really like the NFL channel. Yup...this is my take as well. Lasst night he said....and Smith hands it off to Al Gore WHAT? Al Gore plays for the 49ers? I really hope they don't bring him back.

He's a television professional who is just out of touch with the specifics of this game. As a professional I'm sure he's working hard to improve and I think by this time next year he will be much better and the Gumbel bashing will be greatly diminished. I guess only time will tell. Tally
Around 8am this morning I was eating breakfast and flicked on the NFL Network. They were already doing in depth analysis of the ATL/DAL game for tomorrow, going on about the ATL RB situation and Vicks soon to be rushing record. They showed interviews with Mora, Griffith and Keith Brookings. This channel is awesome! It is taking over my house and I love it. Thank god I have a cool wife. Well, not sure how much improvement I've seen so far, but hopefully he will get a better handle on it. I see that Dick Vermeil will be filling in for Collinsworth in the booth with Gumbel for the DAL@ATL and KC@OAK Saturday night games. People need to stop listing to the garbage the cable companies churn out that satelite goes out all the time. It rarely goes out and even then just for a short time and when you get you immediatly notice the better picture comared to cable.

I don’t even remember the last time it did.
Gunther
Vermeil did some pre season games on NFL Network. I thought he was good, look foward to that broadcast. I saw one game with Vermeil in the booth and I enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to these Saturday night games where he will be subbing for Collinsworth as well.
