budlitebrad
Chargers | Classy Tomlinson rewards linemen Fri, 9 Feb 2007 09:35:58 -0800 Jim Corbett, of USA Today, reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson showed his appreciation for his offensive line, who paved the way to 28 rushing touchdowns and the league rushing title (1,815 yards) in 2006. "He got his linemen two first-class, round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world," Chargers rookie left tackle Marcus McNeil said. "First-class tickets from a first-class guy." How can you not respect this guy?
Footballjoe
When RB's do things like this, do they get something for each lineman on the roster or just the starters?

Bill Swerski
Walter Payton used to get gifts from his O-linemen as well. And I believe that Eddie George got his linemen ATVs once. All three of those guys are "first-class" in my book.

Riffraff
Class act, much like: Reuben Droughns paying homage to his linemen 2 years ago when he was the first Brown to rush for 1000 yards in 20 years. He bought them all diamond wristwatches. http://browns.mostvaluablenetwork.com/team...f-the-big-boys/
godtomsatan
How can you not respect this guy? I don't know, what's that cost, $15,000? A nice gesture for sure, but jeez, the guy's a multi-millionaire.

Two per lineman 5 lineman that would be more like 40 grand That still isn't much, but see CTR post. TheGrunt
Walter Payton used to get gifts from his O-linemen as well. And I believe that Eddie George got his linemen ATVs once. All three of those guys are "first-class" in my book. I remember hearing Walter Jones say something about Shaun Alexander getting the O-linemen iPods after his record breaking season. An iPod. I'd rather block for LT

Los Angeles to Honolulu $2500 roundtrip per person. Los Angeles to Miami $3000 roundtrip per person. Los Angeles to New York $5000 roundtrip per person. Los Angeles to London $15000 roundtrip per person. Los Angeles to Sydney $18000 roundtrip per person. Assuming some use them for international flights and some use them for domestic flights, you're looking at about $100,000. If they all went to Australia, then he would be paying $180,000. Just another reason LT is in my book.
whomper
The flip side to this is a report I read recently about Edgarrin James who has one by one left flaming bags of poop on his linemans porches since the season ended.

' I was gonna say that when work sends me to Hong Kong, my tix are usually $6k to $7k in business class from Indianapolis......Granted, at LT's salary, it's a drop in the bucket, but it's still better than most RB's do. He's taking care of those who take care of him!!! Kudos to LT IMO!!!
