keggerz
Baltimoresun.com Draft day is less than two weeks away, so there is going to be a lot of speculation about possible trades. Within the last several days, three or four teams have inquired about disgruntled Ravens receiver Derrick Mason. Mason basically said he wanted more action at the end of last season, and he suggested it might be time to move on. The Ravens should be able to at least get a third-round pick for Mason, but the Ravens are in a wait-and-see mode as far as trading him. This could go on right up to draft day. - Mike Preston
rajncajn
He'd be a great fit for the Saints provided he's not asking too much. :fingerscrossed:
Big Red
He needs to shut his mouth and play. What did he expect when he came here the year after Jamal ran for 2000+ yards?
Sgt. Ryan
He needs to shut his mouth and play. What did he expect when he came here the year after Jamal ran for 2000+ yards? He expected to be used, as he was the best that sad sack team had until Clayton finally came around.
broncosn05
Mason was a hugh huddle guy last year but severly disappointed. Though he didn't play up to potential with McNair, he should be a little ticked off.

piratesownninjas
no one would give up a third rounder for Mason. no way. . . agreed... No where near a first day pick... How old is he? When was the last time he put up real numbers?
satelliteoflovegm
Agreed, Mason will yield a 5th...Possibly 4th depending if the team drafts low or high. I am always amazed at what people think players are worth for draft picks. (In the real world)

Big Red
He expected to be used, as he was the best that sad sack team had until Clayton finally came around. Why? How could he expect to be used? Yeah, Derrick, we ran for over 2,000 yards last year. Yes, Kyle Boller/Anthony Wright are our QBs still. Uh, sure <chuckle chuckle>, we'll throw the ball more. Come on. Even basic fantasy players knew it wasn't going to happen.

Uh, he went there with high hopes that he and MCNair would be able to rekindle some magic. Also worht noting that that Philly was in the running for him prior to his signing with Baltimore last year

DKF
McNair followed Mason to Baltimore...he was not there when Mason signed. Mason turned down a better offer from NE to play for Balt. He signed with Balt because is wife has people in the area. When I did that, I thought it was pretty nice of him.
