nogohawk
I don't know if it qualifies as sc--fi, but an early John Carpenter movie called "The Fog" Can the "Terminator" series be classified as sci-fi?

skylive5
All time favorite: The Day the Earth Stood Still. There are many that I enjoy like Aliens, Buckaroo Bonzai, Day of the Triffods and some others.... but none beat out Michael Renne giving us warning. Skilly
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend "Dark City". I think Jennifer Connely is in it, and it also stars Keifer Sutherland. Great SCIFI flick, IMO. I also liked Starship Troopers, Total Recall, among the others mentioned.
Marauders11
I just got through watching Speilberg's mini-series, Taken. Very long, 5 discs, but well worth it IMO.

Clubfoothead
I don't know if it qualifies as sc--fi, but an early John Carpenter movie called "The Fog" 937256[/snapback] That would be a horror movie I believe. Filmed in Mendicino, CA about 25 miles north of Pt. Arena where I attended Jr. High and a darn good movie. Not a sci-fi fan would Independence Day count? For some reason I love that movie. Is Blade sci-fi?
Itsnottatooma
1. The Matrix 1. I think I've seen this DVD 20 times now. 2. The Empire Strikes Back. 3. Starship Troopers 4. The Running Man (I had to have at least one Ahnold movie in the top 5) 5. War of the Worlds (1950's version) 6. The Day the Earth Stood Still. Adrian Barbou (SP) makes it a SCI-FI because you just keep asking yourself, those cant be real...can they??? BiggieFries
I'll second (third, fourth?) the votes for the Alien series. Close Encounters of the Third Kind was a pretty good flick as well.
