tbimm
I think he only has about 9 more months in office. Worst part is his Police chief Riley is thinking about running and our racial makeup will possibly give him a chance to be the next Mayor. Thankfully I will be living in a completely different voting district by then.

tbimm
and why do you think this is? Because politicians like Bill Jefferson have duped all the AA into thinking the best thing for them is to vote race. They would have come out much better in the long run had they voted for Mitch in the last election but they couldn't see past the color of his skin. If they elect Riley as the next mayor you can pretty much flush whatever hope is left right down the toilet.
nuke'em ttg
Why Men Don't Write Advice Columns Dear Ask tbimm, I hope you can help me here . . The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter. I am 41, my husband is 44, and the neighbor's daughter is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him . He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Lost in Louisiana ****************************** Dear Lost: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors. I hope this helps, tbimm...... For a whole $5.
tbimm
Yeah, like how the welfare brood mares will now be able to buy the trailers they've been living in rent free. For a whole $5. There are so few trailers left around here. Honestly that is a sensationalized story that should concern you about as much as a housefly on your screen door. First and foremost. If these welfare broods, so to speak, have been living in this trailer for the last 4 years what kind of condition do you think it is in? Rajn can tell you from experience that these were not top of the line trailers to begin with. After 4 years of having a family actually living in them on a daily basis I am thinking it is worth the 5 bucks to keep em out of the landfills. The families that are still in them can have them for all I care. Honestly I haven't seen a trailer around here in about a year. I'm sure there are a few still around, but I seriously doubt the ones that are could be resold. First of all none of the trailers are outfitted as an actual travel trailer. To be used for anything other than temporary living, you'd have to add a septic & water system as well as redoing the wiring hookup since they are all hard-wired into your power/water & sewage source. The cost of refitting these things, even IF you could resell them, would far outweigh any value they have on an open market. I think you are overestimating what it would cost to set one of these up, and under estimating what they might bring at auction. Our office trailers have water, septic, and electric to them. You can put in a gravity fed tank and trench system for about $2,500 to $3,500. If there are electrical lines near by, you can get a saw pole dropped for about $800. You can get a water meeter set for about $500 if you don't have to tear up any pavement to get to a main, you could pipe it yourself easily enough form the meter to the trailer. You can probably get a FEMA trailer ranging from $1,500 to $8500 depending on how bad of shape it is in. So, for between $5,800 and $13,800 depending on location of utilities and the condition of the trailer you could have a pretty good deer camp.
