bushwacked
you gotta go onside here, right? With one time out and the two minute warning, why not kick it away?
Menudo
Thoughts: On Phillip Rivers being sent home again............ Rex Ryan is 10 times the coach the Norv Turner is Norv Turner is awful. No need for the onside kick and you have to call the timeout before the 2 minute warning. Unbelievable win for the Jets.
budlitebrad
I guess it's only fair that the team that let them into the playoffs gets a chance to knock them out.

BeeR
I felt sure Jets had a shot at upset. I know the NFL is pass happy but Jets unlike SD has a strong running game and D which are still huge. And as a Colt fan that worries me Edited January 18, 2010 by BeeR
Sunday Couch Potatoe
which he wouldn't have needed to do if he could kick a FG in the playoffs. It wasn't even Kaeding who kicked it it was Siphers the punter
Henry Muto
Wow just wow for Kaeding he has to feel so bad right now
montster
boomer was right -- the chargers kick it deep, and no way do the jets go for it on fourth down. if they were down a TD, then maybe you do onside, but if you kicked it deep, stopped the jets, then they're starting at their own 20 needing to go 50 yards or so. CaptainHook
The look on Rivers face was priceless. I could root for the guy if he'd show some class.

bushwacked
I thought Chargers had no timeouts . . . they had one Yea, If they just kickoff, Jets likely go 3 and out with Chargers probably having a minute and decent field position to get into FG range. And as others have mentioned (and didn't make a diff anyway), the lose an extra 5 seconds after the kickoff by not calling a TO before the 2 minute warning. Shaman
Gratz to the Jets!!! The Vatican Hitsquad
Yes he did... and was being called a clown for it on NY sports radio. He believes it. He's crazy. I'm sure the FAN is going to love him come morning.

I'll never root for an I guy show boating poop talker like Rivers. Noone deserves to get beat like that more than him! Only one I feel bad for is LT he deserves a ring for all the great seasons he's had and has given to Chargers fans. He's been so close for several years and hope he possibly gets another shot! Stop the run(cause you know they're going to run 3x). Get the ball back with some time and halfway decent field position(hopefully). No need to onside there only down three IMO

Rovers
Whew. Back on page 3, I said the Jets would win, after predicting they would lose all week. Just one of those wierd moments... a hunch, whatever. It was predestined for the Jets to get another shot at Indy. Naturally, the media will say how SD lost, yada yada yada, abd the Jets as usual will get no respect. Us Jets fans are used to it. Rhodes was the key to this game. I thought he would be, and he was. Sorry Bolts fans, but not that sorry as I am a card carrying Rivers hater. Seems like the Jets got under their skin. Some dumb penalties. A win is a win, I'll take it.
