kpholmes
Poor mistake by the refs... Pitman and Shaun Taylor are yelling and Pitman punches Taylor in the face, Ref throws the flag on Taylor and the Bucs get 15 yards... Poor Poor mistake... Hope its not a game changer... If anything its frustrating as crap... Edit: Refs say Taylor spit it Pitman's face, which led to the punch. Taylor has been ejected. Goopster24
Taylor spit in Pittman's face. Nuff said and what's new? He has been ejected from the game. Edited January 7, 2006 by Goopster24
stesturep
I say that since the official was right there, Taylor must have said or done something that couldn't be seen. No way the official would not flag the hit otherwise, especially when he saw the slap.

Menudo
I remember when Taylor was in the draft, he was the one guy that I had wished the Steelers could somehow get. Thank God they didn't, he is a punk.

Goopster24
Taylor obviously didn't see Carey right behind him or else I don't think he would have spit into Pittman's helmet. Or is he really that stupid? Oh those Miami guys really know how to play! THE U!!!!

If we didn't know that Taylor had spit in Pittman's helmet, it of course was a horrible call then. I was going crazy too.

skylive5
While I don't condone spitting.... that was a two person penalty. Both should have been given 15 yarders.... even if they throw out Taylor. Pittman hit Taylor with his helmet ... Taylor spits... Pittman hits him. Not only do you not spit on other players... you don't hit them either. No matter what the provocation. The ref just plain ignored that. frenzal rhomb
Doesn't spitting on someone imply racism? Let me ask Romo.
fitzkek
Pittman should find that punk ass after the game and tear his heart out. If you spit on someone you get what you get.

LooGie
He need to be suspended for the next game against Seattle. Totally uncalled for. 1253370[/snapback] i disagree, simply because of the playoffs and the sheer competition of it all, but a nice $50,000 fine should do it, and hit Pittman for a $10,000-$15,000 fine too. H8tank
Not only do you not spit on other players... you don't hit them either. No matter what the provocation. No way, someone spits in your face, you first reaction is a gimme, he should have uppercut with a closed fist under his facemask. A complete brawl? No, hit the biscth, the let the refs take care of the rest.

Not saying that Taylor shouldn't have been penalized but Pittman should have too.
