MikesVikes Posted April 22, 2006 Share Posted April 22, 2006 So my kids have a basketball hoop that we got last year. The kind that supports itself after you fill the bottom with sand. It was a decent one that has an adjustable height. The kind that kids love to smash the boards and in this case smashed the backboard into a few pieces too many. It would be easy to replace the backboard with a new one. Until yesterday. Yesterday is the first day that I noticed that we didn't have it anymore. A neighbor must have been sick of looking at it or somebody must have thought that they needed a broken hoop more than we did. Do you think it was a nasty thief, a do-gooder neighbor trying to do us a favor, or a neighbor that didn't want to see it anymore, or the exhuberant garbage hauler? But a broken down backboard that's 11 feet long and 200 lbs? And it wasn't grandma. I'm just more curious about it than anything.
