jgcoach
My daughter is singing for Pax TV's USA World Showcase at the MGM Grand. What I need to know is, after losing all my money at the tables, what's there in town for family recreation. I'm towing my Mom, Wife and two kids with me so I need a couple things to do the rest of the week we're there. Leaving the 30th to the 7th. Any info appreciated. Robash
id recomend Ka at MGM, great show but its pricey at about $100 a pop for adults. i think there is a big waterpark at one of the casino's...im not usually doing family orientated things while im there though

darin3
Hoover Dam... never been there, but I'd love to go. Been to Vegas a hundred times... always too busy gambling and partying to actually go "sight-see". I'd love to go to the Dam and perhaps do a helicopter tour - I believe they go over the Grand Canyon, over the Dam, etc. Have fun.
Skilly
Hoover dam is really cool. Depending on how old the kids are, Circus Circus has that indoor amusement park thing going on--my kids liked that. As stated, all the shows are pretty good, but pricey. At the Flamingo, I highly reccomend the Second City comedy club. Funny as hell, with some outstanding comedians. There are lots of old threads on Vegas to look at.
Pope Flick
If you can, take them to Mystere. Good seats are $60 a pop and as a 'circus' that's a tough deal to beat. It's a kid friendky show and stunning.....
Ursa Majoris
Spearmint Rhino is great fun - your wife will love it.
rocknrobn26
If you're a Treky, I heard this was good http://www.lvhilton.com/entertainment/startrek.shtml The water park is great. Checkout the mag in your room. Lots of good info there. For kids, there also is: Excaliber...... The show is corny, but decent. The food is just ok. They also have a carnival level where RR juniorette & friend lost enuff $$$$ in an hour to keep me alive at a BJ table for an afternoon! But they had fun and brought back alot of stuff.......prolly worth 1/10 of what it eventually cost. dukdown
Water Park? Not aware of a Water Park in town here, but I could be not aware of it. There used to be one, outside the Sahara, but it's closed down. Maybe there's another one though. Would be interested to know about it. Granted it's been probably 15 years ago, but it was really a nice one. At the time it had one of the tallest/steepest slides in the US. It was a gas! Beaumont
When I was recently in Las Vegas we went for a very scenic drive through some painted hills/moutains about 6 miles from town. There are wild burros in the hills and an old western style town to visit. Its a very nice ride, and if you are the bike riding type I am sure a great bike ride ...
