biggamer3
for the NFL Offensive rookie of the year it has MArques Colston at a really great 4 to 1 bet on my sportsbook ISnt he almost guarenteed the award? Leinert is the favorite at 3 to 1, that makes no sense to me

DMD
When you factor in all things considered, Colston should be the rookie of the decade.
budlitebrad
It's like taking Boldin's rookie year on steroids, but as a TE. Edited November 16, 2006 by budlitebrad
DMD
It's like taking Boldin's rookie year on steroids, but as a TE. A bit-o-perspective Randy Moss rookie year after 10 games: 31-593, 6 TD Anquan Boldon rookie year after 10 games: 56-790, 4 TD Marques Colston rookie year agter 10 games: 54-869, 7 TD Colston's pace = 96-1545, 12 TD In 2005, those numbers would #6 in catches, #2 in yards and #1 in touchdowns. LooGie
i see the line is now 5-2..but i have no idea what that means...
i_am_the_swammi
i see the line is now 5-2..but i have no idea what that means... basically, its 2.5-1, meaning he is now the favorite. Odd for a line to move so quickly...must have been all that Huddler cash coming in after the original post. It's probably still a good bet at 5-2....I can't envision anyone else winning the award, unless DeAngelo catches fire and leads the Panthers to the playoffs, while the Saints and Colston collapse. I don't think either is a real possibility.
scuba chuck
i see the line is now 5-2..but i have no idea what that means... At 4-to-1, you need to win more than 20% of the time, on similar wagers, to win consistently over time. At 5-to-2 (which is essentially 2.5-to-1), you need to win more than 28.5% of the time to win over time. This does not take dollar volume into account, just number of instances. Edit: Based on the information that DMD has provided, it would seem that a line more like 10-9 might make more logical sense, but who would take that bet? Wow. That's actually the first time I've really thought about what Colston has done, and after seeing it side-by-side with Moss and Boldin I'm convinced this guy is amazing. Although, I was convinced even before seeing these stats, but this puts things in a 'bit-o-perspective' for how freakishly amazing of a year Colston is having. I'd say he's earned himself a solid choice for getting awarded the Ultimate Fantasy Sleeper Award.
