Force-outs...

Seeing Heath Miller's catch just a moment ago got me thinking about the rule. Why is this allowed? I mean it was a great catch by Miller but out of bounds, is well...out of bounds. You always hear people/coaches/announcers say how defenders should use the sidelines as an extra defender to help them when defending, yet in this case it helps the offense.

I feel that if the offense wants to chance throwing near the sidelines, that the receivers should have to get possession with both feet in bounds and retain it through hitting the ground out of bounds. Can someone explain? :D

because its in the Rule Book :D:wacko:

just curious but to you wonder why they allow QBs to spike the ball? I mean hey if they want to stop the clock they should save their timeouts....Spiking the ball sure seems like intentional grounding :D
