anyone remember Ron Grant??? Guy had arms bigger than my thighs!

He makes the list

Brian Giles. i remember reading a stat he hit like 40-50 homeruns one year and then the following years he barely cracked around 20.

i am a rockies fan but it wouldn't totally surprise me to see todd helton mentioned. that one year he had 49 homers, he looked huge. the guy was essentially a line drive gap-type hitter except that season and the one right before it when he hit 42. could be explained by injuries and/or age, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn he was also taking some stuff he shouldn't have been.

As a Mets fan, that's another one that would bug me, although it's the first time I've heard him mentioned in this context - why Pedro? He certainly doesn't have the physique for it.

The 'physique' for it is one of the largest misconceptions about steroids, especially as used by pitchers. For them, they don't use it to build power through muscle, they use it to replenish strength in order to rest and recuprate faster.

In fact, pitchers probably used it to a larger degree than hitters, in part because they didn't need to max it out and show Bonds'like symptoms.

They are now saying that former MVP's will be on the list. Here is the list of MVP's from the past ten years.

1997 Larry Walker, Colorado Rockies, OF Ken Griffey, Jr., Seattle Mariners, OF

1998 Sammy Sosa, Chicago Cubs, OF Juan González, Texas Rangers, OF

1999 Chipper Jones, Atlanta Braves, 3B Iván Rodríguez, Texas Rangers, C

2000 Jeff Kent, San Francisco Giants, 2B Jason Giambi, Oakland Athletics, 1B

2001 Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants, OF Ichiro Suzuki, Seattle Mariners, OF

2002 Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants, OF Miguel Tejada, Oakland Athletics, SS

2003 Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants, OF Alex Rodriguez, Texas Rangers, SS

2004 Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants, OF Vladimir Guerrero, Anaheim Angels, OF

2005 Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals, 1B Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees, 3B

2006 Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies, 1B Justin Morneau, Minnesota Twins, 1B

2007 Jimmy Rollins, Philadelphia Phillies, SS Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees, 3B

Obviously Bonds and Giambi, probably Sosa and Gonzalez, maybe Tejada?

Rollins. Pople hate to hear it because they want to believe the feel good story, but he'll be there I'll bet.

I have my suspicions about all of the above.

:D the wrestler? or the slap-hitting shortstop? or do you mean eric gagne?

Thanks for catching my error, Az. It was definitely ERIC, the closer for the Dodgers who had the incredible streak a few years back. If he's not on the list, it only means he didn't get caught.

On the list of MVP's, I would have to guess that Jeff Kent is a candidate based on his numbers and his attitude. But that is pure supposition on my part.

Scott Ferrall had a good point on Sirius, saying that there will probably be 2 reports. The one Mitchell gave to Selig and the one the public will see. If there is a big enough name on the report that means too much to the sport of baseball (like Ortiz or something), it wouldn't surprise me if they were scratched from the list to protect the game.
