Perchoutofwater
I heard Sarkozy joked about Obama walking across the channel in June when they commemorate Normandy.
Clubfoothead
So Sarkozy doesn't feel Obama is enough of a leftist and that opens Obama up to criticism for conservatives why? You'd wear it as a badge of FN pride if a Frenchie said that about President McCain but its somehow a biitch slap when he says it about Obama? Way to stay above the fray. H8tank
I am just glad zero removed his shoes in that mosque and bowed to the saudi king, while covering the name Jesus speaking at that university. I love our muslim overlords.

"The American President's call "to free the world of the menace of a nuclear nightmare" was hot air, Mr Sarkozy's diplomatic staff told him in a report. "It was rhetoric – not a speech on American security policy but an export model aimed at improving the image of the United States," they said. Most of Mr Obama's proposals had already been made by the Bush administration and Washington was dragging its feet on disarmament and treaties against nuclear proliferation, the leaked report said. " Left/right aside. He didn't even use Obama's name. This whole "America is evil, we're sorry, we'll be nice, have a lollipop" campaign is NOT going to help us in the least and make us look weak to our enemies. Even our ally called him out for it. Read again... Slowly. "People don't hate you for what you do, they hate you for what you have!" My Dad - RIP

My Dad - RIP Not to nitpick, but you posted that first paragraph as if it was a quote from Sarkozy and it isn't. Reading the article myself, it actually appears that the journalist referred to Obama as, "The American President" and further, I don't know even know if anything in that was actually a quote from Sarkozy. In fact, for an article supposedly about what Sarkozy said about Obama, there's almost no quotes from him at. Just sayin'.

Ursa Majoris
It was rhetoric – not a speech on American security policy but an export model aimed at improving the image of the United States Well, duh! Does anyone seriously think nuclear weapons can be uninvented? Of course not. The idea is to lower the nuclear threat. And of course most of what Obama says abroad is rebuilding our image - and our alliances. God knows they've been wrecked sufficiently by your crew. This whole "America is evil, we're sorry, we'll be nice, have a lollipop" campaign is NOT going to help us in the least and make us look weak to our enemies. Even our ally called him out for it. Disregarding your worthless and silly remark, on what do you base this assertion? How the F would you know anyway? Personally, I'd rather we became a member of the world community than have virtually all of them against us either overtly or covertly. I'd rather live in a sovereign America and have our leaders do what is in AMERICA'S (our) best interest, the rest of the world be damned. Lead, follow or get the hell out of our way. We do too much of the worlds heavy lifting anyways. Our enemies and allies will change over time, but the America our founders intended for us is non-negotiable! Dr. Sacrebleu
WOW. That's gonna leave a mark. Oh yeah, somebody tell peppy LePew that the frogs still suck... :cre8tiffbash: You rang? For the record, Sarkozy, staying in character also dissed Merkel, and the Spanish president. Sarkozy did see one leader on the horizon who could solve all the world's problems. And his name is.... Sarkozy. President Bling-Bling also known as Napoleon has done it again. President Sarkozy makes me miss Chirac. And that is saying a lot. I guess it's akin to how bush jr made me feel about Bush Sr. sarkozy is a vain, petty, little little man. As to this political discussion, i want no part of it. Lead, follow or get the hell out of our way. It doesn't work like that - no man (country) is an island. We do too much of the worlds heavy lifting anyways. Couldn't agree more. It is sending us into bankruptcy. Our enemies and allies will change over time, but the America our founders intended for us is non-negotiable! Not sure how these things relate. Are we to be a perfidious ally, untrusted by all?
