muck
How old was Judy Garland? FYI, Portman is like 28yrs old.
Azazello1313
FYI, Portman is like 28yrs old. so, she can still look young. actual age really means very little, hell, they had michael j fox playing a teenager when he was like
Savage Beatings
Dorothy - Ellen Page Tin Man - Michael Clarke Duncan Lion - Albert Brooks Scarecrow - Simon Pegg Wicked Witch - Carla Gugino Wizard - Gary Oldman
Ziachild007
The possible trouble with Portman is (i) I have NO idea if she can sing ... and ... (ii) Dorothy is 12 years old. Not sure Portman could pull that off. Vanessa Hudgens? She can sing, dance and is also very photogenic.
Whiskey Pimp
I just saw this on aol. It is hypothetical but since this week marks the 72 year anniversary of the movie they were asking who would you cast in the main parts with todays actors and actresses Maybe it's just me, but why would anyone have a poll based on a 72 year anniversary? Did they do this last year too? Will they do it next year? I can see 75 but 72???
FWmaker
Tom Cruise can play each and every munchkin - male OR female
Big John
Maybe it's just me, but why would anyone have a poll based on a 72 year anniversary? Did they do this last year too? Will they do it next year? I can see 75 but 72??? 72 must be an error as the movie came out in 1939, making it 70 years.

Bring Back Pat!!!
Lion: Jonah Hill Wicked witch: Helen Mirren The rest I'm still thinking about....
skylive5
I see John Malkovich as the man behind the curtain. I cannot see, no matter how hard I try, Jim Carrey as anything, let alone in the Ray Bolger role. Think that John Goodman could probably carry the Lion role off. Can he sing? And since Streep over dramatizes everything she does... probably make a pretty good Wicked Witch.
Whiskey Pimp
72 must be an error as the movie came out in 1939, making it 70 years. Big john is right . It is 70 years Gotcha. I was just referring to the original post that says 72 year anniversary. 70 makes sense.
