JULIAN EDELMAN LEAVES TUESDAY MORNING PRACTICE EARLY 08.09.16 at 10:41 am ET

FOXBORO — Julian Edelman left Patriots practice early on Tuesday morning.

Immediately following an early passing drill in the joint practices with the Saints, the wide receiver tossed his helmet to the side. He spent roughly 15 minutes on the back of a cart speaking with a member of the team’s medical staff before walking off the field down the back hill.

Edelman missed seven games at the end of the 2015 season because of a left foot injury. He was in and out of a walking boot over the course of the offseason, and just returned to fully-padded practices on Sunday.

Edelman's injury not considered to be serious though anyone coming off two foot surgeries is going to be watched closely and any further injury could be serious.

This is fantasy football. It's never too early! :brow:

WIDE RECEIVER

Julian Edelman

Chris Hogan

Danny Amendola

Aaron Dobson

Nate Washington

Malcolm Mitchell

Keshawn Martin

I'd move Mitchell up that list.

Mitchell should miss 4 weeks and with that likely to happen, you can kiss his redraft value for this year goodbye.
