Congratulations to Joe Thomas, and what a great statement he made about it (thanking all those who helped him, the fans that support the team despite their troubles, etc).

Also saw on the news video of him finding out when another HOFer (Walter Jones) showed up to his home (in their HOF jacket) to welcome him to the club. They didn't cover some of this on the news, pretty funny that he was almost sitting around in his underwear when they came knocking.

Ronde Barber, nice player but is he a Hall of Famer? That's a stretch for me

A closer look at this stats, says he deserves to be in:

From ESPN:

"Barber was one of the league's most productive and durable players in his career. He didn't miss a game over his final 15 years and was a five-time Pro Bowl selection with 47 interceptions and five 90-tackle seasons."

From Tampabay.com

" 47 interceptions, 28 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries, 12 touchdowns and 1,251 tackles. He was a five-time Pro Bowl player, three-time All-Pro, member of the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2000s and a Super Bowl champion. He also played 215 consecutive games, the most of any defensive back in NFL history. "

From Bucaaneers.com

"Record-setting numbers: Barber is the Buccaneers' career leader in interceptions with 47 and he also recorded 28.0 sacks, the second most ever by an NFL defensive back. Of those 28.0 sacks, 27.0 came from the cornerback spot, a record for the position. With that combination of big plays, Barber is the only player in league history to record at least 40 interceptions and at least 25 sacks."
