Why all the Patriot Haters?

(1) You're asking for a confrontation when wearing a Pats jersey at a Jets game.

(2) Getting into a such a heated argument with a bunch of Jets fans that security had to move you "because you had to defend youself" is not an intelligent thing to do.

(3) Points (1) and (2) clearly show that you're both arrogant and stupid.  It's unfortunate that we have laws to protect people like you, as you clearly would've been a victim of Darwinism by now.

last time I checked it was also a Patriots game..thats who the Jets were playing..lolol

arrogant..maybe...stupid..nah not really...I mean this is just me personally..but Id feel like a coward if I were to not wear a Patriots jersey in a visting stadium because I feared a verbal or physical confrontation

so you saw the argument? how heated it was...cause it was pretty light hearted...but when the Jets are getting beat ..New yorkers can get pretty rowdy...but Im sure your realatives have all told you bout that

Time out - wearing a Pats jersey at a Jets game in New York is arrogant?

Sticking up for yourself when you're getting crapped on is not intelligent? I don't see how the two are related at all.

Your point (3) shows that you're pretty easily convinced . . . (1) and (2) don't "clearly" show anything.

When wearing the jersey of an opposing team to a sporting event, you're going to take some crap from the homers. This may shock some of you East Coast folks, but it happens elsewhere in the country (e.g., Bears/Packers).

I've lightheartedly talked trash with fans at "away" games before, but getting to the point where SECURITY has to intervene clearly shows that neither party is behaving intelligently or acting like mature adults.

it wasnt my fault Chad got picked 5 times and when I stood up and high fived my friends and clapped they started throwing cookies, pretzels, and plastic beer bottles(one of which I turned and caught and proclaimed I was Willie McGinest picking of Chad)...hahah...sorry next time I should tell the Jets fans to calm down

Yep, you didn't instigate anything. Thanks for proving my point. :D

Getting back to the original topic of this thread, people like mo lewis and UT are prime examples of why many in The Huddle don't like the Pats.

Where's the arrogance come in again?

Not sure if you've noticed this in the past, but security can be extremely dumb and can overreact - all it takes is one complaint for security to get involved. People could be going back and forth jokingly and others (including security) simply misunderstand what's going on. Being separated doesn't clearly show anything, other than that the parties got separated.

Not behaving intelligently and being stupid are apples and oranges, dude. Hearing one example of behavior that isn't intelligent and making the leap that it clearly shows that the subject is stupid is . . . not intelligent.

how did I prove your point? that was after Chads 4 pic and people were throwing objects at me for cheering ...I guess Im an idiot for that...

according to swerski visiting stadium etiquette..you arent allowed to wear a jersey for your favorite team..or cheer when they score or force a turnover....because then someone might start throwing *** at you and you might be forced to respond with a jab of your own

no one here likes the Pats becasue of me..im going to cry...bet swerski??

how is that instigating? are you kidding? he was jokingly making light of people who were THROWING CRAP at him and you consider it "instigating"? It's not like he was yelling "JETS SUCK" and dropping trou.

If he wasn't instigating the incident, how did HE get moved to a different section? Why didn't the Jets fans get thrown out for throwing crap at him? I'd like to hear the full story, but doubt that mo will be truthful. The fact that security made HIM move and not the other party speaks volumes.

I was at a Pats-Phins game at Pro Player (now known as Dolphins Stadium) a few years ago and saw two Patriots fans get escorted out.

Frankly, its easier to remove one or two people from an area then trying to remove 20. I didn't see either Pats fan do anything over the top... it just looked like security wanted to defuse the situation before it turned ugly.

I think ive shared the story before

now you have me and 3 of my friends wearing Patriots gear..and you have 10 full rows of rowdy Jets fans...who is easier to move? They moved me not because of anything I said or did directly...but because security feared their own fans would take it even further(and thats from the mouth of the guard who asked us to move for the final 2 and a half minutes)

Off the top of my head, I think it's probably easier to move a handful of Pats fans than it is to move an entire section of Jets fans.

Have you ever been to a football game wearing the opposing team's colors? You don't have to do anything to piss off 10 rows of the fans . . . especially when their team is down by 30.

Big Rocks..I was down there last year for the 19-13 overtime game...wearing my Patriots gear there too...I had a great time..nice little 5 day vacation...decent fans

"The fact that you and your three friends managed to piss off 10 full rows of Jets fans speaks volumes."

well I was in the 4th row of my section..so theres kind of alot of rows behind me...I dunno Im the villain

I see the error in my ways..Im an arrogant stupid idiot..I should know better than to wear my teams colors in a visiting stadium...I should have not responded to the jets fans taunts and flying objects..I should have remained silent and been their ***...I should also not cheer when my team does well ..even better I should have just left the game early to avoid the embarrassment..i have problems..

Balzac thanks for being reasonable and understanding my point of view..but do not associate yourself with me or defend my arguments...because you too will be labeled and idiot by holier than thou Swerski...who always keeps his cool and acts in proper fashion no matter what the situation

Yes, I've been to Lambeau Field in Bears gear. Heard a few insults, but got along with the Packer faithful for the most part. Then again, I don't have mo lewis' personality, so perhaps that made it easier.

I think it's funny that you're defending him. That's about a half step away from defending UT.

BTW, mo, don't bother trying to cuss me out over PM again. I've blocked your user name.

ha i dont think i really cuss'd ya out..i do remember calling you a *** at least twice...and I have my reasons...same reasons you have for calling me arrogant...and an idiot...see you see me as an instigator in the situation and I see myself as defending myself....no someone who wouldnt act differently in the situation i was in..someone who wouldnt respond to taunts..would be someone small in stature and self esteem to me...a ***..what most men call someone who wont stick up for themselves after being taunted without warrant

Did the Bears win by 30, thereby making you a walking target? Did the cheeseheads start tossing stuff at you? Fans cannot dig it when you wear the colors of a team that just beat them, let alone embarrassed them.

You've done this before where you confuse my defending a concept with defending someone. I don't need to defend Mo - he's doing a fine job himself. I just take issue with calling someone stupid and arrogant based solely on something that dictates neither. People get moved at games all the time - it doesn't make them idiots . . . if you ask me, it makes the people surrounding them in the section the idiots.

The problem is that the concept you're defending isn't true, which lead me to believe that you're defending a person. No, you're not a "walking target" if you're in the other team's jersey and ahead by 30 in the visiting stadium. Mo lewis made himself a target by stading up and cheering and high-fiving his buddies after Pennington threw his nth interception late in the game with the pats up by 20 or 30 points. That's just poor judgement. Of course you're going to draw negative attention to yourself in that case. Now I agree that it shouldn't be like that, but we don't live in a perfect world. I'll bet that a smile and a light clap wouldn't have drawn a negative response from the Jets fans.

So, we can say that mo didn't use very good judgement (or timing) when he celebrated in front of the Jets fans. In addition to cussing me out over PM, he's bragged here before about getting "$40 haircuts" and "banging hot chicks." You'll have to forgive me for questioning the IQ of someone like that. Maybe I'm wrong and he's really a genius who just makes poor decisions. But I doubt it. And he's already admitted to being "arrogant" earlier in this thread.

yeah I should clap a little lighter...when pennington gets picked for the 4th time in a 5 point game..which ended a 5 point game

i should remain seated..and not celebrate with my friends..I should just look at them silently and wait till after the game till were in a safe area without jets fans and then applaud

i never bragged about this story..nor did I brag about banging hot chicks..I said that Ive had sex with girls alot better looking than tara reid..sorry if that offends you

a smile and a light clap probably wouldnt have drawn a negative response huh? how would explain having *** chanted at you and other remarks tossed your way without uttering a word..just going to your seat before the game even started?

Ill try to exercise better judgement next time..Ill try to follow your example swerski..because you do everything while exercising sound judgement...wasnt that you typing "homo" at Balzac several times after he suggested that wasnt a very cool thing to do and he noted that he had a sibling who was gay?

The concept that someone can be moved by security without being a stupid and arrogant person isn't true? Awesome.

You certainly are a walking target in that situation . . . in New York. I don't know anything about other stadiums, but I get crap at the Meadowlands and Yankee stadium for no reason whatsoever when I wear Boston stuff. Maybe this just doesn't happen in GB - I can't say either way.

Smile and a light clap . . . when your team is beating a rival and you're there to witness it - sounds thrilling. If all fans reacted like that, there'd be no NFL.

I agree Bridget is hotter, but Ben's just a rook. Also, check out the pictures of her in bathing suits and short skirts, she is extremely hot. No one looks good in LPGA garb. She wouldn't be known as the "Anna Kournikova of golf" if she looked like a 12 year old boy.

I thought dating an LPGA member was only cool if you were a woman? :D

I simply do not understand why fans of certain QB's take such pride in who that QB is dating. WHAT DOES IT MATTER???? Jeff Garcia, Cade McNown, and Tim Couch all dated Playboy Playmates. Does that make anyone think they are better QB's? Such a weird thing to be "proud" of.

As for the original question: Why all the Patriots Haters?

My reasons are obvious. :D
