lynch
Instead of rating the overall Draft I was hoping that you all could look at my team and help me to improve what might be mistakes. I am just going into the second round of a keeper league draft and want to avoid similar mistakes. I am the Big Time Bengals in Orange. Thanks for breaking down my selections. I was hoping that you all could rate this draft that I had yesterday. The scoring is at the bottom of the post. I am the Big Time Bengals. I had the 7th pick in the first round. Adrenaline
Not bad & way better than skyhawks. IMO you may have reached for Gonzalez, Collins & Carolina a little. That said drafting with all of those Yahoos it didn't much matter.

Jumpin Johnies
Let me get this straight, you picked Burleson before you picked Porter.
lynch
One of the other guys in the league mentioned that he liked Burleson. So I took him thinking I could get Porter on the way back, and Porter is the number two WR now and Burleson is the #1 now. Haskel
Seems like you're betting on a couple "what ifs"... IF Collins lives up to all the hype in Oakland...I really like your team. If he doesn't, I wouldn't want to rely on Penny as an every week starter. IF your starting requirements allows for a Flex player, I like your third RB options...especially IF THenry gets the starting nod in Tennessee either by winning the position outright or by CBrown gets gimpy again. Personally...I like the team and looking at the others, I think you'll do alright.

lynch
Well you have all weighed in on the draft in general. What about my team specifically. I am starting a keeper league and looking for ti=hings to improve on for that draft.

Ralph Furley
I think for a keeper league, it's decent. However, looking at the guy that took Favre 2nd overall is crazy. It's hard to judge other's rosters when you've got guys drafting like he did because you can't really justify some of the picks.

lynch
I don't understand this guy at all. It is a free league, so I didn't mind doing things a little different, but this guy was odd. I was hoping that you all could look at my team, Big Time Bengals(in Orange) and break down the mistakes that I made and the positives from my draft. I am hoping to have as few mistakes as I can as I am starting two keeper leagues this year and want a good strong draft. Skyhawks 1. (2) B. Favre 2. (19) H. Ward 3. (22) A. Boldin 4. gd74
The good .... You got great value out of your picks of Henry and Edwards...Edwards has alot of upside and Henry could end up the starter in Tennessee..but of course you drafted before you knew this. Its an average squad...but there is nothing that jumps off the page....no player that blows me away....I am a huge advocate that you have to have a couple of top two players at each position...then you can fill in from there....via other draft picks and free agent pickups.... That is why I selected Henry. When you say a couple of top two players. Do you mean a couple of players in the top two at their spot. Or a couple of players at each spot in the top two. Either way is hard, but I felt like I got a top 5 RB and the top TE, a top DEF and a top 10 WR. Edited July 19, 2005 by lynch
Dirty Weasel
One thing that jumped out at me were your 2 QB's. Kerry Collins is supposed to be high risk/high reward. If you think he is high risk also, you may have elected to pick a QB2 a little more stable than one who just had surgery. I, for one, DO like your selection of QB's, because I think Kerry Collins is not high risk at all. But for some strange reason, I am the exception. Roo
Eash, the Skyhawks are really throwing me off. Not sure which is crazier, grabbing Favre in the 2 hole, or the fact that he got Suggs in the last round. Weird draft. Anyhow, I like you to be a contender. I really like your WR corps, which can certainly go toe to toe with any other WR corps. Edge is solid, and if Portis can rebound a little, that should be a nice 1-2 RB combo. The big question is certainly Collins, who I personally like. Big arm, plus top notch WRs, plus horrid defense, equals lots of shootouts. You might see a lot of 4TD, 4INT games, but that's still good. There are some other strong teams though. Edited July 20, 2005 by Roo
