DMD
According to Adam Schefter with the NFL network/NFL.com The Raiders and reps for quarterback Kerry Collins are scheduled to meet later this week in Indianapolis at the Scouting Combine to try to determine each party's plans for the coming season. It sounds as if the sides are headed for a mutual divorce, with the Raiders apprehensive about paying Collins the $2.5 million roster bonus due to him next week as well as his $6 million base salary for 2006, and the quarterback apprehensive about returning to Oakland to be the starter. It looks like both sides feel it would be better to start fresh, the Raiders with a new face at quarterback, Collins with a new city and new offense. But nothing will become official until the two sides meet later this week. Interesting. If that happens, do the Raiders go for a cast-off QB from another team or do they enter the season with Tuiasasopo and Andrew Walters? New coach and no ties to Collins anymore. Goopster24
Haven't people been high on Tuiasasopo? Walters was a good college QB; I would give him a chance as well. I would like to see Leinart in a Raider uniform; that would be a lot of fun.

CaP'N GRuNGe
Culpepper to Oakland, hooking up with Moss again? 1337652 Don't see how they could work the cap. Maybe Gus Frerrotte to OAK to hook up with Moss.

Maybe Gus Frerrotte to OAK to hook up with Moss. 1337655 I know Oakland will get to scratch $10 million off the books by letting Woodson go. Add that to the savings they'll get from cutting Collins and I'm sure they'd have room for Culpepper. I can't think of anybody else on that team that's making serious coin, aside from maybe Jordan and Gallery.

Who else is available, Brees????? They will get someone if they let Collins go....

More often than not, he knows what he's talking about, everyone else with their "sources" often seem to just be making stuff up. kpholmes
Arn't we leaving someone out? Culpepper looks good, but the cap would be hard to work with... The man I speak of is Aaron Brooks. He is done in NO, and I could picture him being someone the Raiders would have their eye on...

This article is interesting, but it contradicts what John Clayton said.
Donutrun Jellies
Haven't people been high on Tuiasasopo? 1337639 Isn't that what Ricky Williams tested positive for this time around?

The Irish Doggy
Would they not look at one of the rookie QBs? At 1.6, they could move up or grab Cutler by recent projections.

Duchess Jack
I think that the quarterback given the job should be the one most willing to push Davis down the stairs. Edited February 23, 2006 by Duchess Jack

The Vatican Hitsquad
If the Chargers are dumb enough to let Brees go, I doubt they will out-bid a team just to keep hmi from going there.
AtomicCEO
Tuiososopo, Walters, and a non-stellar veteran... Maybe Kitna? Tuey has been around a long time. He only played one game last year, and they pulled him. It took both Mannings at least 3/4 a season of playing to get ready for primetime. I'm one of those stoners who's high on Tuey... and not just because he's on my dynasty team... he's on my dynasty team because I was high on him. Raider fans aren't even high on him. He has played in many games over 5 years, started only 1 and got yanked. Never in any appearance has he ever showed tht he was the heir apparant. Instead, they keep looking for another QB. That should tell ya something. What a guy does in college is just that... what he did in college. I like Kitna, but I really like McCown. I don't think you can point to that and say "Tuey sucks". Norv Turner was very high on him last offseason, but... I guess Al wasn't.
