untateve
I watched the first series of Hell's Kitchen and I've been watching this time as well. The problem this time is I don't like any of the "competitors." They all seem like they're a bunch of azzholes. But still, I watch every week. twiley
I caught it for the first time last night. First thing that came to mind after watching it was that it's the po'white trash version of "Top Chef". I think HK came out first but it's pretty evident that HK focuses around the drama while Top Chef focuses more on the skill and art of the culinaries. When I first started to watch it, I kept thinking, "man, that chef is a dick", but after watching the whole show I started to side with the chef. IMO, They're all a bunch of idiots. There's not much on TV now so I'll probably continue to watch it. Edited June 21, 2006 by twiley
georgemoe
Gonna start watching this weeks episodes tonight. All contestants are pretty week culinary wise. At least last year you knew there were two that at least had a clue. At least one of the players has nice cans. AtomicCEO
The wife and I watched last season. We're watching this season too. It's interesting subject matter at least. I'm sure it's not as culiunary-focused as Top Chef... but it's no typical drama-laden reality show either...

I agree with this and I think that's why I enjoyed Top Chef so much more. I don't need a lot of BS drama. All contestants are pretty week culinary wise. Exactly. So will any one of them run a top notch restaurant.
darin3
Me and the s/o watched last season - although for some reason I don't recall watching the last few episodes. And we're watching again this season. It's OK. Nothing better on, so we'll check it out. The one blonde chick, although not all that much to look at, would be a wildcat in the sack... I dunno, somethin' about her. And the half-Asian (I think) chick has some HUGH fun-bags. They are showing them "out of the kitchen" a bit more. So that's good. Jimmy Neutron
Is that show any good? The commercials make the lead guy look like a real drama queen, so I have never watched it.
untateve
Is that show any good? The commercials make the lead guy look like a real drama queen, so I have never watched it. It's kind of "meh." It's okay at times but doesn't approach Top Chef. Even Food TVs Next Food Network Star is better.
Seattle LawDawg
I'm watching it for the same reason as many of you: Its the only thing on. I need something to do while playing cards. Speaking of shows that involve cooking, have any of you seen the movie "Dinner Rush"?

I Like Soup
I'm certainly not one to be watching tv shows on a week in and week out basis...but the second week it was on, I was putting together a book shelf and had a hockey game on. After the hockey game, they had the first week encore, and then the second week show. This Monday, I remembered and sat down to watch it. Is this the beginning of me getting fat and old and sitting in front of a tv all the time?
