...we should be able to gauge how good they all are by what happens going forward, no? I mean even if every victory they've had the last few years was because of a video camera, it won't help them the rest of this year, next year, etc. So even their most outspoken critic would have to admit they are good if their success continues, right? Right? :D

i agree...IF pats put together a winning season this year, i hope it silences some critics....NO WAY do i condone what they did, but blame personnel and coaching.......here's hoping that Brady executes Sunday night, and D limits Rivers and LT to get a W against a strong team......

 

still reeling from the Sox collapse last night....4.5 lead......two more games against hated Yanks....

They taped signals for godssakes. Never mind what they did with them or what type of advantage it gave them. (Lets just speculate endlessly about what they could have done with them and how it effected games.)

I'm with Furd on this one and he's a lawyer! :D

Suspend the entire franchise for the entire year.

That will teach everyone, and now coaches no longer have to cover their mouth with their play charts because now they know no other teams are trying to steal their play calls.

However, cheating has been specifically defined and identified, and the Patriots are guilty.

the patriots are indeed guilty of cheating. But they have a solid team to back up their play. Regardless, of cheating or not. Their dynasty is not tainted in any way, and the fans and critics should move on. The punishment has been given, so shut up and watch some FOOTBALL BABY!

I'm not saying they didn't break the rules, because they did, but can you honestly sit there and say that sending a live feed to a booth upstairs is really that worse than having guys with binoculars? Reguardless, both are stealing signs, and its been going on for a long time. For everyone to freak out and say its only the Evil Empire of the Patriots is asinine.
