I don't know that it is that far fetched. Jennings will be a 3rd year WR that has had pretty good success in his first 2 years. the 3rd year rule suggests a possible breakout, and IIRC he's already #12 in average points per start with WRs that have 8 starts. It must be hard as a Vikings fan. You just can't get the Packers out of your head, can you? Your eyes are drawn to Packer names and you cannot control yourself. i_am_the_swammi
NFL has him #4 in receiving yards....just right behind Owens; Wayne and not too far from Moss. I was shocked to see you are correct...then realized that, like last year, his production has come in 1-2 games ( just one this year, Week 2). Last year, if I am correct, he had two blow-up weeks in a row...other than that, he was marginal. Maybe he is Top-10 stat wise, but I'd rather have good-to-great production almost weekly, rather than have to hope my WR posts a blow-up week, or get squat. I think this is one instance where the stats lie.
Easy n Dirty
1. Moss (assuming he re-signs with the Pats)2. Owens 3. Houshmandzedah 4. Wayne 5. Braylon Edwards 6. Andre Johnson 7. Fitz 9. Holt 10. Welker I like that guy you have at #8, maybe he should be higher.
i_am_the_swammi
FWIW, my top-10 next year: 1. moss 2. owens 3. wayne 4. housh 5. a. johnson (he'd have been a monster this year barring innjury) 6. edwards (much will depend on who is tossing the rock) 7. fitzgerald (ditto) 8. smith (assuming he has a QB under 40 throwing him the ball) 9. welker 10. williams (moves down a notch, based on the maturation of Calvin Johnson) And the next 10:: Burress Holmes Hackett Jennings C. Johnson Boldin Walker Cotchery Evans Henry there will be some serious fantasy WR corps next year....nice list of #2 WRs, eh?

Locness_Monster
1. R. Moss (assuming he's still in NE) 2. T. Owens 3. B. Edwards (with D. Anderson still throwing to him) 4. TJ Houshmanzadeh 5. R. Wayne 6. A. Johnson (physically, this guy is the next TO) 7. A. Boldin (assuming he's healthy) 8. S. Smith (assuming that Delhomme comes back 100%) 9. T. Holt 10. S. Holmes Somewhere just outside the Top 10: L. Fitzgerald D. Bowe M. Colston R. Williams B. Marshall G. Jennings Plaxico Burress and Lee Evans would be higher on my list, but they're too inconsistent. Marvin Harrison and Javon Walker are huge ??? with their knees.

bushwacked
no chance on earth of this happening AFC Pro Bowl WR's: Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Braylon Edwards, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and Chad Johnson.
Riffraff
and remove Roy Williams altogether from that list Agreed. Way overrated. It's amazing how much a guy like Roy pulls in. For reference the last 4 years (since Roy entered the league): Roy Williams - always called a stud 3652 yards, 28 TDs Cost = an arm and a leg Compared to a guy like Chambers (over the same timespan): Chris Chambers - always called a turd 3663 yards, 26 TDs (not counting about 200 more yards rushing) Cost = cold pizza and a warm beer Name value is $$$. Roy is younger than Chambers, so he gets bonus value for that. But not for anything else. Martz is gone, Kitna on his last legs, and Calvin is in town. isleseeya
Tough list ...but i see a few with welker and few without in PPR leagues especially i think Welker has to be in top 10 , no ? and thats with or without moss

AquaticRay
I'm not sure where the love for Chad Johnson is coming from. Two disappointing seasons in a row is not an aberration, its a trend. Two Bengals? I think if you want to include two players from one team, drop Chad...and add Wes Welker. As long as that Patriot offense remains unchanged, he will produce Top-10 stats. In High preformance scoring leagues with PPR Chad Johnson was #7 in 2007 and #6 in 2006. Everyone should have such disappointing years. Everyone should have such disappointing years. I think the problem people have with Chad is he had monster games and then less than desirable ones. His end of year stats look very good. His week-to-week stats leave a little to be desired. In 2007, he had 4 games where he scored a TD, that leaves 12 games where he did not. And one of the games he scored in was week 17 (no joy). 3 of 15 weeks can leave a bad taste in one's mouth. I'm not saying he's bad. I'd hate to face him on his good days. People just wish he was more consistent. Edited February 9, 2008 by Riffraff

Avernus
the same can be said for most WRs every year...many are defined by their BIG weeks I always try to look for limited low weeks... Bobby Engram was perfect for me in that role this year...a very solid #3..
