I would find it helpful if people would start posting the basic stats for "the big year" and stats for the average (round numbers are fine) for "the other years" and how many "other years" there were. I just don't know how many years some of these other guys played...

Injured players count?

Robert Edwards NE Patriots...1998 1115 Yards Rushing, 9 TDs, 35 receptions 331 Yards and 2 TDs....one and done due to that Pro Bowl Beach Flag Football knee injury

Ack, ignore this one, didn't read your criteria carefully!

I threw out guys who were cut short due to injury (like Patrick Jeffers, Robert Edwards and Cadillac Williams) or guys who didn't have ginormous 'big years' (like Chris Sanders 823 yds / 9 TDs), Olandis Gary (1,318 yds from scrimmage / 7 TDs), Derrick Mayes (829 / 10) and James Jett (804 / 12), even though they tailed off quite a bit after their 'so so' big years).

A running list of candidates has been posted to the first thread ... please post them like that in the future.

If memory serves, CLE WR Michael (hee hee) Jackson, circa late 90s. Had a big year, buncha tards drafted him too high, and he fizzled.

Also HOU RB Gary Brown. Had like 1000 yds in last 8 games, got the big contract, and *pfffffft* after

an ideal one hit wonder would be David Patten circa 2001...

passing - 1/1 60 yds TD

rushing - 1 rush, 29 yds TD

receiving - 4 catches 117 yds 2TD 91(long)

in my local, this resulted in 24 pts for the passing yds, 14 pts for the rushing and 31 pts for the receiving (pre-PPR scoring)

a total of 69 pts for the all-purpose WR day and then I'm pretty sure he kept it extremely quiet the rest of the season....aside from a couple games where he scored a TD..
