HowboutthemCowboys
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Raiders are expected to release RB Justin Fargas and DT Gerard Warren before their roster bonuses are due "in the coming days." leave it to the Raiders to cut their most productive running back. kpholmes
NFLN saying Dunta Robinson signs with Falcons Corey Williams to Detroit Jim Schwartz visiting Vanden Bosch - looking for some leadership on that defense. rajncajn
Per Adam Schefter on Twitter the Saints are about to make Jhari Evans the highest paid gaurd in the league. Deal should be coming within days.
i_am_the_swammi
I had been hearing thru various ESPN reports that the Bears were shopping Olsen. Martz has never been a big proponent of using the TE in his offense (in fact, it escapes me who the Rams TE even was during their "Greatest Show on Turf" era). Similarly, Vernon Davis was underutilized in SF while Martz led the offense. If all they need is a blocking TE within Martz's offense, and Olsen's skills would go unused, it makes a lot of sense to get max value for him now. Question is, who wants him? Brady loves using the TE

At least any more tradeable then before they signed Manumaleuna....

BillyBalata
Yes, because if the Bears hadn't signed Manuamula, then there is NO WAY they were going to be able to find another blocking TE. So then they wouldn't even consider trading Olsen. Luckily though, they were able to snap him up the first day of free agency so now they can trade Olsen. whew. Just don't see where the signing of Manumaleuna all of the sudden makes Olsen now tradeable. At least any more tradeable then before they signed Manumaleuna.... Well, they now have someone to block, and with no 1st or 2nd rounder Olsen likely gets traded for a 2nd-3rd round pick because they have a blocking TE. If you keep Olsen to block, you're not really using his skill set. Bringing in Manumaneuna anow allows them to shop without feeling to much pressure of "we need to make a deal." I actually wouldn't mind seeing them keep Olsen and put him in the slot - the old az-Hakim position. That might be interesting but something tells me that's for Bennett or Knox. Brentastic
For whoever asked earlier, the new Bear TE (Manu) was the TE during the Rams heyday. IE... he's a good fit since he knows the system. The Bears need to get whatever they can for Olsen, he is no use to them now.

"Filed to ESPN: Chester Taylor reaches agreement with Bears on a four-year, $12.5 million deal that includes $7 million gtd in year one." Only silver lining in that one, if I understand the rules correctly, is the Vikes are now free to sign an unrestricted free agent themselves. So who will replace Chester? Westbrook or LT? Or will they demand much more money?
Big John
Only silver lining in that one, if I understand the rules correctly, is the Vikes are now free to sign an unrestricted free agent themselves. As long as the contract amounts don't exceed Taylor's new contract.
