stethant
Meet the Jets' new cornerback, Joe McKnight! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8428252/new-york-jets-joe-mcknight-unhappy-being-shifted-cornerback First off, wow. Not sure what type of skills he's going to develop mid-season. Second, this has to increase Powell's value if the coaches are finally gaining insight into Shonn Greene's suckitude. wpayers
If he's half the player Troy Brown was the Jets may have something.
LosGatosEnFuegos
Not that this is a big deal, but how does this affect non-IDP leagues? He's rostered in my local as a RB.
stevegrab
Not that this is a big deal, but how does this affect non-IDP leagues? He's rostered in my local as a RB. Well once his owner realizes he won't be working as a RB anymore I'd assume he gets dropped. I checked the league I commish and he wasn't on a roster, so no worries there. It will probably take a few days for sites to update his position/eligibilty. Some may go to a RB/CB.
Bronco Billy
It might be mildly amusing to watch him cover the Jets' second best WR Rogers- Cromartie in practice and see who ends up winning those battles. With the Eagles? Or Cromartie with the Jets?

Hugh 0ne
He can't be much worse at DB than he was at RB.
Furd
I would think that a guy that can smell the burgers at the drive thru would be eager to demonstrate that he is a team player.
lkirc
I am starting to get the feeling Rex Ryan isn't the sharpest tool in the shed....
stevegrab
I am starting to get the feeling Rex Ryan isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.... Do you think the same thing about Belichek when he used Troy Brown as a DB?
Big John
Do you think the same thing about Belichek when he used Troy Brown as a DB? Or more recently Edelman?
Whiskey Pimp
I am starting to get the feeling Rex Ryan isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.... Do you think the same thing about Belichek when he used Troy Brown as a DB? I don't want to speak for lkirc but I'm sure he's not limiting his comment to just this one player switch. He says they're a ground and pound team but they don't have the line or RB for that. They bring in a backup QB which becomes a hugh distraction with the media and paints another bulleseye on his team.
lkirc
Correct. It is not just this incident that makes me question Ryan. Ryan is no Belichek. Edited September 27, 2012 by lkirc
stevegrab
Correct. It is not just this incident that makes me question Ryan. Ryan is no Belichek. Ok, just another case of me taking somebody's response literally (as if this move has you starting to believe...). Not to mention we haven't even seen how this plays out yet, which is why I asked about other offensive players being used on defense.
